This week was very hectic and I didn't find a better way to "de-stress" than to go for a long walk in nature... Some people do meditation, some do yoga, some like to kick a boxing sack, go to drink in the bar... I like to go for a walk, reconnect with the source, and take a couple of deep breaths...
I'm aware that I didn't do these walk posts for some time (over a month!!! 😱), and after the HiveBeeCon, where I met @phortun I said to myself that I have to take part in one of his Appreciate Beauty of Nature challenges! I will try to pick one of these photos and share it for his latest challenge!
If you were following my previous "excursions" in nature or some of my Wednesday Walk posts, you can maybe recognize the route where I took this walk... The whole point of my walks is to do them where there are no cars, no people, and sometimes, no mobile phone signal either... 😃
This route is circular, which is one of my OCD obsessions... lol... To not go back on the same path... The first part of the route goes by the river, which you can't see in the photos as it is very narrow, and is hidden behind the dense reed... Speaking of reed, it creates some great "tunnel paths" when it grows in height from both sides of the path...
I took these 2-3 photos just to connect them with later photos in this post... To be honest, I'm not sure what is the purpose of the building, but I suppose that it is probably a pump that directs water for the irrigation system from one side to another... or better said level...
This part of Spain is specific as we don't have cold winters, and because of that, you can see some great flowers during the whole year, not just in the Spring as in other places...
Told you about the tunnels of the reed... Love it!
The small river had a small dam that helped in creating this small lake, or better said pond as it is relatively small... In the image below, you can spot a famous Hivian taking a photo for her blog, without knowing that my photo has her photo too! 😃
Told you about flowers... And this one has literally grown out from the stone wall!!! Nature is amazing! In the photo below, you can see the first medlar flowers and you can already smell it in the air! Take a deep breath!
Some great views of the valley... I was on the way back in the circular route... So, if you look at the photo, what you can see on the right, is the reed was the one on the right side of the photos above...
Do you remember that "pump building"? This is the "upper part" of those green pipes that you have seen before... We are now at the "higher level" where we can see the first half of the route underneath...
On the right side of this photo, you can see the sea in the background...
Already a famous pine tree that I have mentioned a couple of times in my previous posts... This magnificent tree is over 200 years old!!!
Water is life, and Altea (the place where I took the walk) is famous for its water network built in the way that you can see in this photo... It goes through gardens of the area, feeding trees, fruits, and vegetables that grow around...
Last look at the town church before going back to the car... See you next time nature! 😃
Thank you for your time,
~ph~
