Some days ago we had a different kind of schedule as we took some time off building to go be time in Nature. In the morning we ran into some horses so we went to grab some apples from a tree and tried to make friends with them by offering the fruits.

Funny thing was that the horse smelled it a bit and decided it preferred the thorny flowers of thistle rather than the juicy apple. @choli tried for a while but with no success.

The horse finally turned his back on us, with a goodbye fart haha 😂

That day we knew that it was going to be one of the last hottest of the summer, so we wanted to take advantage of it and decided to go to a nearby river, but with a somewhat complicated access.

The clouds were stunning though the phone camera didn't do them justice. Still, the scenarios on the way were beautiful.

After the plains begin a big forest and we would have taken many pictures if not for the fact that we got lost. We were traveling with @fenngen 's mother and they begin discussing about which was the right way without coming to agreement. After nearly an hour of trying different paths we finally saw the entrance to the river:

We arrived when the sun was beginning to hide. We managed to take a delicious bath, with the water at that moment lukewarm, we played with the current for a while and we left because we got cold. But the little time we were able to stay was worth it.

Is this a "thank you so much" picture or what?

We also remembered to take a picture of the trees on the way back. The predominant species around here is called ñire (nothofagus antartica) which is a relative of oaks, even called austral oaks, though rarely. Their dry wood is one of the main sources of heat around here, but what has really endangered them most is the clearing of these forests to open plains for cattle raising.

We haven't mentioned we had companions on the trip. Kali and Simon (daughter and father) went with us on the trip, on the back of the truck. Kali seems pleased and Simon is already on the floor very tired as she probably wears him out with all her need for attention and games 😂

Back home we're feeling relaxed by the time in the water and went to bed early. Next morning walking around the garden we found this peculiar zucchini flower. It's different than most because it didn't have the straight up single pistil of a male, yet it wasn't a female either since it beared no fruit.

After that we continued out build in the forest, which is what we are blogging about most of the time lately. Here's our latest post in case you like checking out constructions with natural materials.

A new update is coming up soon with many advancements not seen in this picture 🙌

Thanks for accompanying us on this little trip, hope you enjoyed the ride. Have a great day!
