Hello friends of Hive, happy Tuesday. Today I will show you two types of plants that I have at home.
Hola amigos de Hive, feliz Martes. El día de hoy les mostraré dos tipos de plantas que tengo en casa.
The first and one of my favorites is the Dragon Flower. Also known as Flor de Largarto or its scientific name Obrea Variegata. This is a succulent plant, it is small since its stem does not usually exceed 10 centimeters in length, its origin is from Africa.
La primera y una de mis favoritas es la Flor de Dragón. También conocida como Flor de Largarto o su nombre científico Obrea Variegata. Esta es una planta suculenta, es pequeña ya que su tallo no suele pasar los 10 centímetros de largo, su origen es de África.
This plant is a bit delicate when it comes to its care, mainly with water. It is suggested to water it every 15 days and it must be taken into account that this plant is very susceptible to excess water, when watering it, do not wet the stem because it can rot, you have to do it carefully just by wetting the soil. You also have to have them located in a place where it does not receive direct sunlight since its stems can burn, the ideal is to have it where the light is indirect and the temperature is cool.
Esta planta es un poco delicada en cuanto su cuidado, principalmente con el agua. Se sugiere regarla cada 15 días y hay que tener en cuenta que esta planta es muy susceptible al exceso de agua, al momento de regarla no hay que mojar el tallo porque se puede podrir, hay que hacerlo con cuidado solamente mojando la tierra. También hay que tenerlas ubicadas en un sitio donde no reciba luz directa del sol ya que sus tallos se pueden quemas, lo ideal es tenerla donde la luz sea indirecta y la temperatura sea fresca.
Something that is not very pleasant but nevertheless seems very interesting to me about this plant is that its flower does not have a pleasant smell, it smells like fetid meat and that is to attract the flies that are the ones that pollinate them.
Algo que no es muy agradable pero sin embargo me parece muy interesante de esta planta es que su flor no tiene un olor agradable, huele como a carne fétida y eso es para atraer a las moscas que son las que las polinizan.
The other plant that I want to show you is the Echeveria Elegans. This is also a succulent, it is known by the name of green rose. It is native to Mexico and like the Dragon flower, you have to be careful with the water. Its leaves are thick, which means that it accumulates a lot of water, its watering should also be every 15 days and you have to try not to wet its leaves since it can also rot.
La otra planta que les quiero mostrar es la Echeveria Elegans. Esta también es una suculenta, se le conoce con el nombre de rosa verde. Es oriunda de México y al igual que la flor de Dragón, hay que tener cuidado con el agua. Sus hojas son gruesas, lo cual quiere decir que acumula bastante agua, su riego también debe ser cada 15 días y hay que tratar de no mojar sus hojas ya que también se puede pudrir.
Unlike the other plant, this one can have direct sun, it has several ways to reproduce, the simplest is to bury a leaf in the ground and that's it. Apart from this it is a little larger than the dragon flower, its stem can reach up to 20 centimeters in height.
A diferencia de la otra planta, esta si puede tener sol directo, tiene varias formas de reproducir, la más sencilla es enterrando una hoja en la tierra y listo. Aparte esta es un poco más grande que la flor de dragón, su tallo puede llegar a medir hasta 20 centímetros de altura.
