Hello Needle workers..
It's a pleasure to share with you another amazing needlework project.
I'm so excited the year is gradually coming to an end which means I'll have enough time to rest and rejuvenate for next year project.
You can never ever go wrong in a wine dress just like black, wine is another amazing color that suits all skin type especially light skinned tone.
Jennifer my friend is having her birthday shoot on the 19th of December and I am privileged to be her fashion stylist and designer.
This dress is everything a birthday girl can ask for. She's very petite in nature and has a very fine and slightly broad shoulder.
The dress was made of thick crepe and some fancy petals used to embellish the dress with fine stones.
Her upper bodice measurement was used to cut the upper part of the dress. A princess bustier added beauty to the dress.
The lower bodice was cut after deducting her half length from the full dress length.
Made of box pleat to enhance her body appearance and add fullness to her fit.
The off shoulder dress was now embellish with a balanced cape of about 8inches used to secure the shoulder and arm hole after which I stitched the petals to the cape at the top of the cape.
The complete fit of this dress is something to be excited about. The joy that came from seeing the magic my hands created brought me joy more than anything.
Here is what the complete fit looks like and Jennifer is almost ready to rock this dress for her shoot.
I'll be delivering the dress tomorrow as today is quite busy and occupied for me.
I ensured to take an upclose-view of the petals, and front view.
The petals are sold in the market and all one need is just to stitch them to the dress.
I didn't take me much time to make this dress although a full day was dedicated to ensure it came out really well.
Jennifer was always on video call with ensuring she joined in the process of making the dress, well that's the perk of being my friend.
It was much fun as she watched how I sewed every stitch with so much love, the laughters and encouragement made it all worthwhile.
Here's the back view of the dress in all its glory and I'm sure you love what you see too.
Images used belong to me, outfit cut and sewn by me.
