Greetings friends lovers of threads and needles, I wish you an excellent and blessed week together with your loved ones, I am happy to share my creative project; it is a mouth cover or mask inspired by Beatrix Ironhand, a tiera character from Splinterlands cards, curiously she wears a tricolor mouth cover that matches her costume; she is a gurrera of great skills with the boomerang.
During the pandemic by the Covid-19, the masks were very used, in this period I sewed many of them of different models according to the taste of each person, it is the first time that I sew one of three colors, and I loved the result, unlike the traditional model this one is tied in the back like a scarf.
Saludos amigos amantes de los hilos y las agujas, les deseo una excelente y bendecida semana en unión de sus seres queridos, me siento feliz de compartir mi proyecto creativo; se trata de un tapa boca o mascarilla inspirado en Beatrix Ironhand, un personaje de tiera de las cartas de Splinterlands, curiosamente lleva un tapa bocas tricolor que combina con su vestuario; es una gurrera de grandes habilidades con el boomerang.
Durante la pandemia por el Covid-19, las mascarilla fueron muy usadas, en este período cosí muchas de ellas de diferentes modelos de acuerdo al gusto de casa persona, es la primera vez que coso una de tres colores, y me encantó el resultado, a diferencia del modelo tradicional esta se amarra en la parte trasera como una pañoleta.

The elaboration of the mouth cover is a simple process, cut four pieces, sew in the center then face the main fabric and the lining, add the elastic or make a fold at the ends where the elastic is placed, sew the contour leaving an opening to turn over and put it up, in this case the mouth cover has three colors, so you have to make more cuts and several joints; after making the pattern I marked and cut the pieces.

La elaboración de tapa bocas es un proceso sencillo, se cortan cuatro piezas, se cose por el centro luego se enfrentan la tela principal y el forro, se agrega el elástico o se hace un doblez en los extremos donde se coloca el elástico, se cose el contorno dejando una abertura para voltear y se repisa, en este caso el tapa bocas tiene tres colores, por lo cual hay que hacer más cortes y varias uniones; luego de hacer el patrón marqué y corté las piezas.
Once the pieces were cut, I sewed the central part (gray fabric), then I added the green piece, sewed with a straight stitch and finally the blue-green one, with a triangular ending to tie the mouth cover.
Cortadas las piezas cosí la parte central (tela gris), luego agregué la pieza verde, cosí con puntada recta y de último la de color verde azulado, con terminación triangular para amarrar el tapa boca.
Once the main part was assembled, I sewed the lining, which is gray.
Armada la parte principal cosí el forro, que es de color gris.
Luego enfrenté por el derecho la parte delantera y forro, cosí con puntada recta dejando una abertura para voltear, luego repisé y cerré la abertura, con estos sencillos pasos está terminado el tapa bocas tricolor.
Then I faced the front and lining on the right side, sewed with a straight stitch leaving an opening to turn over, then I repeated and closed the opening, with these simple steps the tricolor mouth cover is finished.
The elaboration of this project was simple and without difficulties; the fabric used is soft and with sufficient elongation for this type of accessory, which is regularly used by health personnel, scientists, in the handling of chemical substances, among other activities where the respiratory system needs to be taken care of.
La elaboración de este proyecto fue sencilla y sin dificultades; la tela utilizada es suave y con elongación suficiente para este tipo de accesorio, que es utilizado regularmente por personal de salud, científicos, en el manejo de sustancias químicas, entre otras actividades donde se necesita cuidar el sistema respiratorio.
