Hello everyone, welcome to another beautiful Monday. Some days ago I shared a skirt I made for a client. Today I am glad to share the cropped sweater that was paired with the skirt. Making sweaters can be quite delightful, probably because it doesn’t require so much technicality. Although the lazy part of me likes to do projects that do not take so long to complete, sometimes I indulge in projects that take a while to finish. This was one of them.
In the spirit of making the outfit colourful, I decided to use this flame design that I had earlier used for a project early last year. The only difference is that I switch colours between yellow and red, so where there was red in the last project there is yellow in this new one and vice versa.
To begin with this sweater, I started with making the front piece of the sweater since that was the most challenging part. I started with a chain which was equivalent to the area around her torso divided by 2. The first few rows were regular double crochets, I started the design on the 6th row. I already had a graphgan for this design so I went to search from my drive since I no longer had it in my phone storage.
It started easy until I got to the point where I had to work with 4 colours at a time. It can get confusing too, so I made sure to be 100% focused because I didn’t know how 1 mistake would affect the overall look. Once I was done creating that design, I worked on reducing the armhole part. Then I also worked on both arms. I couldn't take pictures of the entire project because it was mostly done at night.
Once I was done with both the front and back panels I noticed that the front panel was a little small in the area that had that design as compared to the back panel. So I added a mixture of single, half double and double crochets to the affected area so it would match with the back panel.
Afterwards, I joined all sides and here’s the final result. I hope you like it.
