#needlework
Hello my fellow needle workers. I hope you had a pleasant night's rest.
It's been one of the longest two weeks and so much has happened in that time but i'm glad i can finaLly reach out to everyone here so hiiiiiiiiii people, having a great time?
Today's project is a somewhat modified version of my work. I am not so good with dates but I think ,October last year.
Yes its October this client reached out to me saying she wanted a certain jumper shrug design for her daughter and that she wanted to wear it to a graduation of some sort.
I got the order and at that time I duplicated the jumper shrug design in white colour and I named it the Lumi shrug.
So a few days ago I got an order for the lumi shrug from the same client and it was also for her daughter but this time it was supposed to be a modified version ao instead of a jumper shrug I was told to make a crop top that's just stops underbust to provide her with more coverage. [Ss I was told]
It took me a while to decide in the pattern I was using on the crup top part since the first one I made was only aa shrug and a jumper at that. I finally got a pattern to use and I love it.
As usual I got to making this but I was also teaching my assistant ro maoe it since she hasn't seen me making it before so it was a good time to teach her since I dunno when next I'll make it.
This crop top was an urgent job so I started in the morning and finished in the afternoon of the next day. Although I was tormented by the sun when I was at the shop, I still managed to get some work done.
And I am also proud that I've set a new speed for myself when making this so win win if you ask me
I had forgotten how to make this exact design ao trust me when I say I did trial and error till it clicked and I was like “oh well, better late than never” made this body and went on to the leaves. I used sleeve length and width to make it.
I'm a size 14 and I think she's a 12 or big ten. Her mom said to make it free for her so she'll be comfortable in the outfit.
When I finished it I was so happy, tires too because it has been a while since I worked that way but then the result made it all worth it.
Called my dispatch rider over and then I had it sent to my client. I'm happy she loved it and hopefully I do this again soon.
Things I used to make this:
4.0 mm hook
Stitch markers
A 40g yarn
Measurement tape
