And every person have their own picks of their favorite color/s.
What's your favorite color?
As we grow old, our list of faves were constantly changing. From our favorite food, pet, movie, drinks and of course, our favorite color.
Mine has changed every now and then. From pink to lavender, to yellow to light blue, to orange, to red, to dark green and back again to pink. Sometimes, it's really hard to choose which is which. But if you ask kids on their favorite color, they can easily and quickly answer it. But I guess some adults can really pick their choice without any hesitation. I mean they will choose that specific color constantly.
Being a crafter means playing with almost all the colors that you can imagine. And there are soooo many of them with different kind of shades.
But for now, I wanted to share with you how to make this cute and lovely crochet crop top in color pink ( my favorite color as of this moment 😅).
To start with, I made a chain as long as what have shown on the picture (26inches). This size is intended for extra small to small size only. The finished product will be 26 inches long, plus some edging, criscross ties, and the elasticity of the crocheted top.
Then I made double crochet on every stitches, flipping it every end of the row and working on the next row.
As I was working, I felt like this pastel pink will be remained as my favorite color, for a longer time I guess (like a month perhaps, lol 😂).
After several rows of double crochet, I decided to make an edging using the front and back post double crochet stitches on the upper and lower part of the crop top. Then I also made some DC-chain-skip 1 stitches on both ends of the top where we put our string/ties after.
(Note: using this kind of method will surely gave you the perfect fit you desire.)
I also made some inner extension on the other side of the crop top. I didn't know what they call it but I think it's use to hide your back like the one I made on the crocheted dresses, that I was able to share here on my previous post.
I also made some crocheted white flowers to embellish the top.
And finally made 4 ties on the shoulder and on the back. Why color white? Well, it suits to the pastel pink, I think.
On this photo, I only place the white flower applique on the top without the pins of course to make it look like it were sewed on the top.
Then after I was able to take a decent picture, I keep the flowers and decided to make some embroidery with a name on it.
By the way, this top is available for grab, so anyone who have the interest, just comment below or message me on discord so we could make an arrangement. (Philippines only.)🥰
