According to my country time, another year will be here in some hours and it is always a symbol of a new start, most people make resolutions for a new year while some will continue doing what they do. But in any way, I am the type of person who likes to take my time to picture how my next year would be.
To be honest, I can’t say everything usually goes as planned, as life is full of ups and downs but it is always better to have a plan and direction for a new year, without any direction or vision anyhow the year ends will be okay with you, because there was no expectation.
I have a lot of plans and visions concerning different aspects of my life, ranging from physically, spiritually, academically, financially..etc. But I also have plans concerning business and everything in between.
I have wanted to start a business of my own, well, I do one or two things but it is not serious. I have two things I had in mind, which is catering and crocheting. I have realized that both things can be draining especially when I have other things to focus on.
But I decided to go for crocheting, in other words, I decided to more focus on crocheting. One thing that made me choose crocheting is the fact that I would be able to multitask with it, unlike cooking. e.g. studying and crocheting. It is more flexible to maintain and also fun.
Also, the capital or money required to make a crochet project is not as high as cooking, there is a lot of equipment, I still need to get if I want efficient work for catering. Although, one thing that doesn’t suit me so well is the unavailability of some yarns.
Around me, it is quite hard to find varieties of yarns or hooks, the common ones are lightweight yarns and small hooks. I am definitely not using that as an excuse because I can either order in bulk or go to a main market.
In this post that I made some months back, I talked about how it has been a long time since I crocheted and how I will be more serious next year. Next year I will be starting my crochet brand and I am so excited for this.
I have been inspired by a lot of young people that has started their brands and are doing great now. I want explore more due to what I see on YouTube and Pinterest, there are always inspiring.
It has been a lot of work for me to come up with a brand name but I finally settled on one because I don’t want to waste too much time on it, I still have to come up with a brand logo and slogan, I am trying to do that as soon as possible.
I have a lot of things to learn and I have started learning mostly through YouTube. I have always been used to regular tops, bralettes, or beach wear in general, which makes me lag in other designs.

For this year, I want to explore more, crocheting is vast and I don’t want to stick to just one thing. I will take my time to learn more patterns, more designs, explore home decor, to explore different shapes of things and other cool things.
I have made some crochet gifts for some people for Christmas, although, I made fewer than I expected and I was so happy to do them because I did something different from my regular tops.
My goal for next year is to grow my crochet brand and explore more into the crochet world, to become a better crocheter. I will achieve these goals through realistic planning and also through consistency, I will also relate to and learn from other nice crocheters.
Year 2024, will be a year to remember, the year I started my crochet brand and stick to it.
