Hello Hive
Happy new week to all of us in the house, it is yet another beautiful day and time to showcase all our creative needlework and this is always fun to do since we get to speak with one another through our individual post....
Its harvest time for me in the farm and I haven't been sewing alot these days.
We have harvested corn and now we are harvesting groundnuts already.
There is alot of work be done after harvesting, we often sun dry both the corn and groundnut to preserve them.
In the middle of this work my sister needed an outfit she could wear to a wedding ceremony, a friend of hers was getting married and had picked this African print fabric for the 'Aso-ebi' the common cloth everyone should wear to the event.
She got 4yards of the fabric which normally wouldn't have been enough for her size, so I did a lot of calculation and a simple sleeve to make this dress a go.
Well I had to spare my nights in sewing this since my days was fixed with doing farm work.
Am just glad that my skills are very much better at sewing now that I can work around cloth to make then fitted, you can see my sister shape and size and how I have managed to make her a very fitted outfit.
I hope I will also find space to fit in my contes post before its the due date, as I can see all your beautiful kitchen needlework projects..
