Hello everyone, hope you are doing well!
It's my first time posting in this community and I wanted to share my first (and so far only) crochet work. When pandemic started I wanted to make the best of it, the best of lockdown, and try not to think about what's happening, so I was finding new things to do daily. Since my mom does crochet work and mostly makes little keychains, I decided I want to try it out too, and ask her to show me. I wanted to made bookmark that was looking like monster from cartoon Monster Inc, and it's called Mike Wazowski. Although I am not fan of cartoon I think it looks very cute, and I thought it would be nice as my first work, and not too complicated. What I didn't expect was that it would take so long to make it, because I was watching my mom do much more complicated things, but of course, she had much more practice and didn't made rookie mistakes that I did. And even though my monster head wasn't the perfect ball, with some help of my mom I finished my bookmark and I was happy with result. Here it is:
I haven't do any crochet work since then, but I would like to try it again, maybe on summer when I will be home more, so my mom can teach me. It's not something complicated or amazing, but you got to start from somewhere. And I like to make things or any kind of my own and admire people that do amazing hand work.
Thanks for reading my post, wish you all an amazing week!
