Hello, dear #NeedleWorkMonday community. I've been a bit absent because life has been difficult for me. Last week I was sick and days later I have suffered several power outages in a row, certainly in the evenings, which is when I have the time to sew or knit, so with that difficulty how do I do the project. Well today there was no cut, so I decided to make a big bag of 40x52 cm in two tones jeans-black, the black part was a flap and the jeans are two rectangles (taking advantage of the design of the pocket) of 22x22 cm, and a strip of 1.32 mt.
I was reviewing my art area, and I saw this flap, I looked at it several times looking how to use it, then I started to think until I thought of combining it with a rectangular pocket that would fit in that central space of the flap. And I started to cut and sew, I will give a brief explanation.
Hola querida comunidad #NeedleWorkMonday. He estado un poco ausente porque se me ha hecho difícil la vida. La semana pasada estuve enferma y días después he sufrido varios cortes de electricidad muy seguidos, por cierto en las noches, que es cuando dispongo del tiempo para coser o tejer, entonces con esa dificultad ¿cómo hago los proyecto?. Bueno hoy no hubo corte entonces me animé en hacer un bolso grande de 40x52 cm en dos tonos jeans-negro de material de provecho, la parte negra era una solapa y el jeans son dos rectángulos (aprovechando el diseño del bolsillo) de 22x22 cm, y una tira de 1.32 mt.
Estuve revisando mi área de arte, y vi esta solapa, la observé varias veces buscando como aprovecharla, entonces empecé a idear hasta que pensé en combinar con un bolsillo en forma rectangular que encajara en ese espacio central de la solapa. Y empecé a cortar y coser, paso a dar una breve explicación.
Step by step//Paso a paso
Materials//Materiales:
- 01 flap of a sack in disuse.
- 02 rectangles of 22x22 cm.
- 01 strip of 132 x9 cm
- 04 strips of 5x45 cm jeans.
- 02 strips of 4x20 cm black.
- Pins.
- Scissors.
- Tape measure.
- Sewing machine.
- 01 solapa de un saco en desuso.
- 02 rectángulos de 22x22 cm.
- 01 tira de 132 x9 cm
- 04 tiras de 5x45 cm jeans.
- 02 tiras de 4x20 cm negro.
- Alfileres.
- Tijera.
- cinta métrica.

Process//Proceso:
- With the scissors I cut the ends of the flap.
- In the central part I insert the 22x22 cm rectangle with pins on both flaps.
- Con la tijera corté las puntas de la solapa.
- En la parte central inserto el rectángulo 22x22 cm con alfileres en ambas tapas.
- I proceed to sew both lids together.
- Then I machine stitch the top 45x5 cm strip of each lid.
- Procedo a coser ambas tapas.
- Luego cosí a máquina la tira superior 45x5 cm de cada tapa.
- Then I sewed the strip on the edge of the flap on the front flap, then on the back flap.
- I sewed the handles (02) to the top of each flap.
- Después cosí la tira en la orilla de la solapa en la tapa delantera, luego en la trasera.
- Cosí las asas (02) en la parte superior de cada tapa.
Assembly//Ensamblado:
- The 45x5 cm strips of jeans are sewn.
- And on it were placed the strips of black color and so that the handles are strong.
- Then the handles are sewn on the top of each lid.
- Se cosen las tiras de 45x5 cm de jeans.
- Y sobre ella se colocaban las tiras de color negro y para qué las asas estén fuertes.
- Luego se cosen las asas en la parte superior de cada tapa.
… And ready a big black-jeans bag.
The good thing about this bag is that it was big, very spacious, it fits several flannels and pants well accommodated.
… Y listo un bolso grande de jeans-negro.
Lo bueno de este bolso es que quedó grande, muy espacioso, cabe varias franelas y pantalones bien acomodados.
I like to do this kind of project because my creativity flows quickly, it took me three hours to do it. Of course in between my chores. Another thing yesterday it rained quite a lot in the evening. And it cooled down the atmosphere, the heat does a lot of damage to my skin (too much sweat causes rash). Last night was able to sleep 😴 well, even though my skin is already battered by the intense heat I suffered days ago. Hopefully this nice weather continues until I heal my skin.
Me gusta hacer este tipo de proyecto porque mi creatividad fluye rápidamente, me llevó tres horas hacerlo. Claro entre mis tareas. Otra cosa ayer llovió bastante en la tarde noche. Y refrescó el ambiente, el calor me hace mucho daño en la piel (exceso de sudor produce salpullido). Anoche pudo dormir 😴 bien, a pesar de que ya mi piel está maltratada por el calor intenso que he sufrido días atrás. Ojalá continúe este clima agradable hasta que sane mi piel.

It is satisfying to achieve the challenge of designing and capturing in the fabric what we want, the good thing is that this bag is made of useful material, I gave a second chance to the pieces, the flap and some jeans pockets. I am happy to have succeeded in making this bag that will serve me to carry medium sized objects.
Es satisfactorio, lograr el reto de diseñar y plasmar en la tela lo que deseamos, lo bueno es que este bolso es de material de provecho, le di una segunda oportunidad a las piezas la solapa y unos bolsillos de jeans. Estoy feliz de haberlo logrado hacer este bolso que me servirá para llevar objetos de tamaño mediano.
