Hello to all the members of the needlework club! On this Monday I want to join the WIP Challenge! where we are invited to pull out that forgotten project and try to finish it in a period of 8 weeks.

Hola a todos los miembros del club de las agujas! En este lunes me quiero unir al WIP Challenge! donde nos invitan a sacar ese proyecto olvidad y a intentar terminarlo en un período de 8 semanas.

I have been absent from my blog for a while, as my oldest son @mike.cupcakes was diagnosed with cancer and it has been a difficult journey for everyone in the family. Long story short, I have been dedicated to care and supporting my son in any way I can and put everything else aside, including my knitting.

These last few days, he is undergoing chemotherapy. He asked me to crochet some accessories that he really needs and I took the opportunity to participate in this challenge and thus feel accompanied by my fellow knitters in these gray days when my son's pain makes me feel discouraged and sad.

He estado ausente de mi blog por un tiempo, ya que mi hijo mayor @mike.cupcakes fue diagnosticado con cáncer y ha sido una difícil trayectoria para todos en la familia. En resumen, me he dedicado a los cuidados y a apoyar a mi hijo en todo lo que pueda y deje de lado todo lo demás, incluído mi tejido.

Estos últimos días, él está recibiendo quimioterapia. Los momentos en que se siente bien, me animo y comienzo a tejer. Él me pidió unos accesorios en crochet que realmente los necesita y aproveché la oportunidad para participar en este reto y así sentirme acompañada por mis compañeros tejedores en estos días grises en que el dolor de mi hijo me hacen sentir desanimada y triste.

WIP: Knitting with love ❤️

Since I'm making this project for my son, I'm putting all the love in my heart into it. I love knitting but if it is to give comfort to my family it fills me with satisfaction. That is why I decided to name it knitting with love.

My project in process, will be divided into several parts to be able to present it throughout the 8 weeks and will consist of:

-Gloves
-Hat
-3 closed scarves or collars.

These accessories will allow my son to feel warm, since we live in Peru and the harsh government does not make it easy for him to feel comfortable on treatment days. With this I hope he will feel warm and with mom's love accompanying him.

WIP: Tejiendo con amor ❤️

Ya que este proyecto lo hago para mi hijo, le estoy poniendo todo el amor del mi corazón. Amo tejer pero si es para darle confort a mi familia me llen ade satisfacción. Es por esto de decidí nombrarlo tejiendo con amor.
Mi proyecto en proceso, estará dividido en varias partes para poder presentarlo a lo largo de las 8 semanas y constará de:

-Guantes
-Gorro
-3 Bufandas cerradas o cuellos

Estos accesorios le permitiras a mi hijo sentirse abrigado, ya que vivimos en Perú y el crudo inbierno no facilita el que se sienta cómodo en los días de tratamiento. Con esto espero se sienta abrigado y con el amor de mamá acompañándolo.

Gloves

This time I started knitting the mittens, since that's what @mike.cupcakes needs most urgently. I selected a light color and started. For this project I will use wool, crochet needles, some small raincoats and scissors.

Guantes

En esta oportunidad comencé a tejer los guantes, ya que es lo que @mike.cupcakes necesita con mayor urgencia. Seleccioné una color claro y comencé. Para este proyecto utilizaré lana, agujas de crochet, algunos impermeables pequeños y tijera.

The first thing I will do will be the fingers of the gloves. Each one separately and then when I have the body of the glove I will join them one by one.

Lo primero que haré serán los dedos de los guantes. Cada uno por separado y después cuando tenga en cuerpo del guante los voy uniendo uno por uno.

Avances de mi WIP

Comencé a tejer un dedo. Hice un nudo mágico y 6 cadenetas. Luego cerré el nudo mágico. Dentro del nudo hice 6 puntos bajos en la primera vuelta.

Aspects to take into account:

-That the fingers are of different sizes
-Finish all the fingers and the body of the glove separately.
-The waistband of the glove must be knitted with a different stitch.

Aspectos a tener en cuenta:

-Que los dedos son de tamaños diferentes
-Terminar todos los dedos y el cuerpo del guante por separado
-La pretina del guante debo tejerla con un punto diferente
