Hello hello happy and bless new week my beautiful and handsome people of #Needleworkmonday community, how are you all doing, I'm so happy to you guys in today's Monday, hope all is going well and fine, it another new week starting with joy, peace, and prosperity and it is the most peaceful day.
Today I'm going to share with you all on how i cut and sew this beautiful elastic crop top for my friend for her pre birthday photos.
I am so excited that i didn't disappoint her, the worst part of it is that it was so urgent, one thing in this life is that people who doesn't know anything about sewing nor cutting will take it very easy, they might even brought you clothes to sew in the morning and expect to take it back in the same day, i agree with the fact that is possible but depends on the style "Yes" but as for this style, I Know it's possible oooooooh, but because of the house choice responsibilities it comes out so difficult for me that i could not meet up the same day, well this my friend took it as a very easy and simple work, she came with one and the half yards of fabric with this sample of crop top telling me to sew exactly this style for her that she love it so much.
Seeing this crop top, i even love it more than how she do, it really a beautiful style but this sample one is chiffon material while the new one she came with is ankara fabric and it will be so beautiful too, the fabric that she gave to me was only one and the half which will not be enough for me to make the sleeves so Puff as she want but she have no choice than to manage it.
I promise to deliver as early as possible in the morning for her to use and take some pictures before the occasion start, so i rush to the neerby shop and bought elastic threads and black thread.
Here are the material i used
I started by folding the fabric in to two equal parts, i firstly start with the front elastic part which is from her under burst to her normal full length, then i measured her round body and i cut it out.
After cutting out the elastic part, i fold the fabric again into two, i measured out her half length by offing 6 inches because she needed the shoulder very off, so i off it with 6 inches, i measured her body and i devided it by 4, after that i measured her chest from nipple to nipple and i also took her ham hold length too.
After that i cut it out
I now went to the sewing machine and start stitching the elastic thread at the down part of the front top.
**Here is what it looks like
After finishing the elastic part, i equally moved to the upper half length i bend the shoulder neckline and then put an elastic at the shoulder neckline, i now cut the half and inch elastic by 4 inches and i marked the middle of the top and i placed the elastic on it and stitch it down.

As I'm done with the whole thing, i joined the front half length together with the elastic part, and here is how the front looks like.
After finishing with the front part i now moved ahead with the back part, for the back part it going to be elastic thread through out.
I now start stitching the elastic thread on it
I still continue stitching it like i did, here is how it looks.
After finishing with the back side i now joined them together and i went ahead to cut the sleeves, i fold the fabric in to 4 and i measured the full length of the sleeves and the shoulder width then i cut it out.
After joining the body , i now put an elastic at the shoulder neckline of the sleeves and i used the elastic thread and stitch the hem of the sleeves then i fixed it on the body of the top, then the crop top comes out so beautiful.
The style is really beautiful, i love it and i hope you love it too.
