Unboxing my new industrial sewing machine: my 2024 sewing goal

Hello, my fellow needleworker! I'm not posting any outfits or tutorials today, I just want to Unbox my brand-new industrial sewing machine with you all! As some of you know, I have a manual sewing machine which I love so much. However, I decided to invest in another machine so I can have one at home and one at my mum's shop and also if I eventually have an assistant, it will come in handy.

I got this machine about three years ago, but I kept it locked away while I figured out whether I was ready to focus fully on fashion designing or just leave it as a side hustle. However, after some reflection, I realized that I could still be a fashion designer while pursuing my professional career. So I decided to take a leap and focus and invest in my fashion brand. And I believe it was the right decision.

The new machine is a ” Two Lion” industrial sewing machine, model 8500. It's a high-speed model and even comes with an LED light for nighttime sewing which is one of my favourite features because I love night sewing. It also comes with useful accessories like a tape measure, oil, needles, screwdrivers, a machine cover and bobbins.

Although I have not used the machine to make an actual outfit yet, I have test-run it, and so far these are my cons; I don't like the colour, and the colour red is just too bright for my aesthetics. Additionally, I don't like the presser foot lifter, it is just uncomfortable to use maybe because I'm not used to industrial sewing machines. But I think I will get used to it as time goes on.

Anyway, this is my very first sewing machine. The Manual machine I've been using was given to me by my mother, so this is my first time launching a brand-new machine. I am glad to set up this machine, it is one of my goals this year and I am glad I did it before the year ran out. It is a privilege and I can't wait to start sewing on it. I'm so excited!

Thank you for reading my blog and stay creative ❤️

You will definitely get used to gge machine with time.
But can I catch the current price 🤠

thank you sis

I bought mine 3 years ago for like 150k
Now it is like 360k or so not sure

Wow, I need the weaving machine own that's why. The prices are not smiling at all.

Really, the best thing is just to buy it when you can cause I think the price will still go up.

Congratulations🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰. I also look forward to getting mine

You will, congratulations in advance! 🥰

Wow @rayoo - this machine looks really magnificent: I too am thinking to buy a new (secondhand) machine when returning to Italy, as I'll have to leave my vintage Brother one here in Portugal. It's good to get a look at your industrial one - it's impressive... and I do love the red 🥰🌞🌺

Red is beautiful though, but I love cool colors
Second-hand is nice, It will save you a lot of money and some are even better than the new ones

Thanks for commenting

Look at me smiling so much. Wow! Congratulations Rayoo. I’m so proud of you. I’m that assistant o🤭

Ok, my assistant all the way from Ghana 🥰

Thanks for your comment, it made me smile too 🙂
