Hello needlemovers;

It’s a new day of blessings for us,How are we all doing, hope we’re perfect, thanks to God for a new,I guess our night went well too.it’s been God all the way and am so happy we made it together friends everyone is safe and our loved-ones are too.

it’s another blessed new day guys for us to create, inspire and learn from others too so friends having that in mind I want to sharing with you all how I made this outfit for a minor and he rocked it to an event yesterday I guess, so friends stay locked in with your favorite brand @smilestitches while I take you on an amazing adventure that will leave you asking for more 😊 let’s do this together.

Am not really a fan of mixed ankara material like this, it gives me headaches because it’s just too busy and compacted with so many colors already and that give me so much headaches because I’ll now have to choose a style to make on it and it’s always so frustrating, all the colors are there already and it’s too busy with colors so there’s no design you’ll do that will show that’s why I don’t like fabrics like this.
I prefer plain fabric to this 🤦🏽. But I was left with no other option than to get it done. I just had to customize a style from my head, the styles I know won’t come out in the cloth so I just had to customize something new!! This was how it came out!!

Items used:

  • A mixed ankara fabric.
  • Cloth gum.
  • Plain Black fabric.
  • Plain white fabric.
  • Hook and D.
  • Readymade zip.
  • Matching threads.

My sewing processes:

Step 1:

I lay the ankara fabric, bend it into two, draw out the little boy’s measurement on it and I cut it out, including a sewing allowance after that I cut it out.
I used the already cut out front to cut out the back view and I proceeded to the sleeves and cut them out too. Actually the ankara fabric was two yard and I wasn’t sure this would be enough for both shirt and pant that was why I just had to manage it to make sure it was enough for the shirt and pant for the little boy but it’s was really hard achieving it but I just had to stretch my self a bit 😂 so I made sure it was enough and thanks God I succeeded😂.

Step 2:

After my cutting, I took the front to the iron, bend it into two, I ironed out a straight line to indicate the middle. After the ironing I took the cloth gum and I cut out size of 1inches and length of 6inches and I cut another one same size but this time length was 5inches, I brought out the plain black fabric and place the cloth gum on top the back side of the black and I gummed it straight first after that I gummed that other one at the down part sideways to form a L and after I was done gumming I bend both sides to get rid of the rough edges.

Step 3:

I cut the plain white fabric too in an L form and I cut the cloth gum, size of 0.7inches and same length as the black. For the white I now cut the down part and included the D and I also added the hook to the one going the sideways, I bend them both place it on the black after I had already added the cloth gum to the back view. I took them and place it on top the front,I first lay the black before I proceeded to laying the white on top and I sewed them together.

The front was partly ready, I joined the back side to the front one after that i piped the neck using the plain black fabric and I added the readymade zip at the left side of the shoulder, I trimmed the both shoulders and joined the both sleeves and joined the body, bend the length and then the little boy’s outfit was ready!!!

Thanks friends for your time do have a blessed day ahead. Good morning and Good vibes!!!!
