Hello my fellow needle workers,
it’s a beautiful Thursday evening and a wonderful weekend loading 🤩, hope you’ll are having a great time cause am really enjoying myself.
So friends hope you all are doing very well right now, actually it’s has been a stress free week for me from Monday, I had less work to do this week , as always am just on a positive vibe😊.
This week we’re having our blessing summit in our church am just getting myself ready I’ll be leaving for church soon now that this outfit is been done and dusted am now free like a bird, in few minutes I’ll be leaving for church 😊.
This evening I want to share with you an outfit I supervised my cor-worker to make, just last yesterday I was working and he approached me and told me he’ll be making the next outfit and he wants me to supervise him and me that was beginning to be bord and tired because of the shortage of work at my office I was kinda happy because I’ll just have to go stay with him and we can gist while his sewing and I just new the idea was a brilliant one and we’ll both enjoy our self, so I quickly accepted 😂. So I went to stay while he was making the outfit, the guy can really sew from the outcome I saw so friends since I haven’t posted anything since this week which is too poor of me I just had to bring in this here, I hope you all like this little piece have got here to share!!🤗
Equipment that was used:
- A sky blue fabric
- A mixed color vintage fabric
- Light heirstay gum
- Matching thread
The cloth was cut by my boss at the office, after that it was given to me actually to sew 😂 but what to do I already made a promise to a friend and I just had to keep that promise. So when the cloth came to me I just had to forward it to him.
His sewing processes:
Watching him closely first thing he did was to take out the front iron out a straight line to indicate the middle of the front after that he then too the remaining pieces of the fabric that was remaining and he cut them size of 11inches and length of 8inches. He used that measurement to it two out and for the small one he cut size of 6inches and length of 7inches and he place them on top the light heirstay gum and he cut it same sizes and he too them to the iron and glue the gum to the back side of the fabric.
Secondly:
Now after he had glue the gum to the back side of the pieces to thicken the pieces for the pleating he intended doing. After he now started making the pleating for the two bigger one he made 0.3inches size pleating and he made them 5 in numbers and for the smaller one he did same too.
Now after the pleating was done he then took them to the iron again and press the pleating to be straight and well organized.
Thirdly:
He now cut a 1.3inches size pieces again and same length with the sizes of the pieces and he sewed them to the top part of the pleated pockets after that he now cut size of 3inches again and length of 11inches for the big ones and same size and length too for the small one, he iron and bend it and he used it to pipe round those pocket, actually those 3 pieces was to be use for the pocket the two bigger ones were for the side pocket at the down part of the cloth and the small one was to be used for the breast pocket along the chest region. Now he used it to pipe those project round and bend the edges at the top after the piping.
Finally:
Now the pocket was ready and he cut the pieces again size of 3inches and length of 15inches for the front flap, he now first pleaded on the fabric before he added the cloth gum and formed a the front flap and then sewed it to the front.
Added the already prepared breast pocket and joined the back to the front along with the both sleeves and joined the cloth according to the measurement we were given and after that he added the both pocket at the side, bend the length and piped the neck that was how the cloth was done and dusted.
Thank you so much guys for always watching out for my post and for your comments and votes too, God bless you all. I wish you all a prosperous weekend ahead and a peaceful evening too. Good vibes 😎
