This time I want to show you a project in progress, it is a woven blanket with some clouds formed along the fabric.
I saw this blanket a few months ago in social networks but it was one of those publications that we see and we lose sight of and then we can not get it and I loved it so much that I wanted to knit it, but not finding it again and much less get the pattern to follow it or try to follow it because I'm not an expert reading patterns, I was about to give up. However, I am a very visual person and I tried to practice on paper how to form the clouds by knitting in stockinette stitch and I watched some tutorials to learn how to intersperse yarns of different colors.

My first attempt to make the shape of the clouds was horrible, I couldn't understand if it was a cloud and much less the stitches I had to follow to form it so I discarded it. But after analyzing it for a while I understood the following: when we knit we follow straight lines back and forth, knitting is very numerical and structured, what would happen if I made grids on the sheet to simulate each stitch of the fabric?
So I took a sheet of paper and began to draw vertical and horizontal lines of similar size and to better guide me I listed the lines that were formed vertically and horizontally.

Once I had my squares made I started with a pencil to mark with the letter X the points that should be of a different color than the blanket to form the cloud, so that once I was sure I could mark it with a pen or a marker.
With a lot of dedication I was filling in the spaces and seeing if I had the cloud shape I wanted and hoping that besides looking good in the drawing it could be the same on the blanket, of the latter I was not very sure, because I had never made a knitting pattern that would involve such an irregular shape as a cloud.

Once I thought I had the cloud shape I wanted, I began to fill in the outline squares with another color, to see if the effect was really achieved, and I think it was.
To be able to differentiate it I made green X's to know that I should knit with white yarn and purple circles to know that I should knit with the blanket yarn.

After I had everything nice in my drawing, it was time to test if my pattern worked or if I should let it go and try an easier fabric for a beginner like me. So with a lot of patience I started to follow the drawing little by little and changing colors when the pattern demanded it.
I must say that I was very excited to see the cloud start to form on the blanket and I probably shouted and jumped for joy.😂

I hope you liked this little preview of my project, which I promise to show you and give you the step by step once it is ready. But also, I hope this post will help you to take a risk in this world of knitting and sewing that sometimes we think is more difficult than it really is.

Tell me, have you ever made a pattern before using squares as a guide?

The people doing V2K with remote neural monitoring want me to believe this lady @battleaxe is an operator. She is involved deeply with her group and @fyrstikken . Her discord is Battleaxe#1003. I cant prove she is the one directly doing the V2K and RNM. Doing it requires more than one person at the least. It cant be done alone. She cant prove she is not one of the ones doing it. I was drugged in my home covertly, it ended badly. They have tried to kill me and are still trying to kill me. I bet nobody does anything at all. Ask @battleaxe to prove it. I bet she wont. They want me to believe the V2K and RNM in me is being broadcast from her location. And what the fuck is "HOMELAND SECURITY" doing about this shit? I think stumbling over their own dicks maybe? Just like they did and are doing with the Havana Syndrome.

They are reckless and should have shown the proper media what they had before taking me hostage for 5 years.

What would you say while having a gun pointed at your head from an undisclosed location? Have people find it? My hands are tied while they play like children with a gun to my head. Its a terrorist act on American soil while some yawn and say its not real or Im a mental case. Many know its real. This is an ignored detrimental to humanity domestic threat. Ask informed soldiers in the American military what their oath is and tell them about the day you asked me why. Nobody has I guess. Maybe someone told ill informed soldiers they cant protect America from military leaders in control with ill intent. How do we protect locked up soldiers from telling the truth? https://ecency.com/fyrstikken/@fairandbalanced/i-am-the-only-motherfucker-on-the-internet-pointing-to-a-direct-source-for-voice-to-skull-electronic-terrorism

None of that means anything to me (the pattern) but I absolutely LOVE that color and the cloud is so precious! I can't wait to see the finished product!

Thank You 🤩 i love the color to

Wow really lovely beautiful wow lovely thanks for sharing @soysofia

Thank You 🥰

I really like how your cloud turned out. I looks very natural, which can be difficult especially with knitting. Bravo!

Thank You 🤩

Good for you for finding a way to understand the pattern better. I love seeing when a crafter doesn’t give up but keeps trying new ways to figure things out. We all cross bumps in our work sometimes but it’s so worth it in the end when we keep going.

I too really like that color and the cloud looks amazing. Looking forward to seeing the final results. I have followed a pattern with squares before a long time ago. It would take me awhile to figure it out again because it was not easy.

Keep up the great work ~ 😉

Thank You very much @crosheille It is wonderful when we discover that sometimes limitations are only in our mind, that has been my experience with knitting, I went from seeing it as something that was not for me and impossible to practice and today it is my best way to drain stress.

The color is beautiful I would like to knit a thousand things with it 😂😂.

You’re very welcome!

Yes!!! There are many situations where I have experienced this. It feels wonderful discovering we can do a lot more than we ever imagined! 😃

Hahaha I bet!! When we find a beautiful color in a beautiful yarn we just can’t stop working with it. 😅

Oh that is so beautiful and I like your colour choices. This techique is called intarsia, right? Could you show us the backside of the work, I’d be interested to see.

Thank you! I didn't know the technique had that name. The back doesn't keep the same shape but the crossing of the threads (not so pretty) 😞.

I was just interested to see how you wrap the yarn when changing colour but it sounds like it might not be intarsia if the bace colour yarn is running over the cloud in the back. But I actually like the reverse sides of colourwork knits,I think they are pretty :)

I promise show you soon
