Good morning lovely Hive makers and creators!
I am just so excited for the little creations, I couldn’t wait until they were completely finished. I had to share. Aren’t they sweet?
I have a bunch of waste wool that is clean but cannot be used to spin into yarn and I hate to waste. So I spent some evenings listening to audiobooks and needle felting base pieces that hold the shape of what I want to create. I have made a few birds that need some finishing as well as these dolls.
I did mention in my previous posts that I volunteer at a small rural library. We have a summer reading program every year for 6 weeks, and one of the activities is an arts and crafts project. Unfortunately, they won’t be using very sharp needles to poke at wool to create.
Since I like to have homes for my creations, I am sure I will have some willing children for these beauties. Maybe we will make a dollhouse for them with a shoebox, some construction paper, and their imagination.
I’ve said it many times that I truly believe the importance of the creative process. It can be uncomfortable at times. Frustrating when things don’t turn out as we planned. But we still continue to create. Why? For me…..it is in my blood. I am happiest when I am challenged daily. Maybe we all are.
God bless and be well! Keep creating and making the world a better and more beautiful place!
