Hello, dear hive friends! how are you all? I hope all of you are fine and happy.
Today I will be sharing the projects that I did but did not finish last week.
Phone bag
My yarns are causing me allergies. Most of them are IndoPhil acrylic yarns in four-ply and I had been sneezing whenever I am crocheting.
I had a lot of yarn at home and I wanted to empty them out. Yet I still can not think of perfect projects that I should do with it.
Last week, I got bored in my wor place; I lost my inspiration to write on blogs (as if I am good at it) so I decided to dig into the yarns that I brought to work and started a new project.
I always wanted to make a phone holder but starting with the base of the bag, I did not like it because it was not stiff enough. Of course, It was not the yarn's fault though but I stopped the project and resumed doing my job.
I am guessing that it was just my excuse but deep inside I am lazy about doing projects.
A few months ago, I made my husband a sling bag just enough to hold a phone and it had got zippered and extra pouches too. I like my work but my husband seems not. He does not bring it anywhere. I made it fro him when his phone fell from his pocket while driving a motorcycle but I guess he didn't learn from that ( by the way, he retrieved his phone shortly after).
Jaket/poncho/blazer
Since I did not like the bag base< I stopped doing it and focused on my job. The next day, I felt like wanted to crochet so I tried my hand at it again. I found my old pink yarn and decided to make a poncho or whatever you may call it.
My daughters are having trouble in selecting their dresses for church. dresses nowadays can be a bit vulgar. Kid's dresses are following the trend of the adult to be off-shoulder and spaghetti strap. Sometimes, my eldest daughter had to wear a t-shirt under her dress just to make a modest look.
I have been trying to make a lot of cardigans/ cover up before but I was not happy with the result and of course,I level them behind as always.
Sometimes I pity myself for crocheting thousands of stitches and rip them off if I don't like them.
So far, I am happy with the result of my work Since I was doing them in alternate rows with skip stitches, I was able to do it faster.
Indophil acrylic yarns went worn is hot and I don't want my kids to be sweating while in the church so the hole in the design is perfect for them.
I did the project at my workplace so I estimated the armhole size and continued on the body. But then I was having doubts if who can this fit into so I decided to pause for a while and brought the project at home so I can fit it into my girls and determine the length of the project.
Sadly, I was not able to fit it on them over the weekend since the mindset that had in my workplace is different from what I had at home. Lots of things had to be done especially for the girls' school and homework.
Also, we got busy preparing for my niece's birthday yesterday for today.
Hopefully, I will be able to get back on the project this week and let one of the girls wear them.
The plan is that I will be making another one in the same design but different color or many more!
This will be all for my needleworkMonady entry. Thank you and keep safe everyone!
