My ass can finally rejoice 🛋🤩
I've lived in my current apartment since October 2019. I love being downtown and within close distance to pretty much everything, but my place is kind of small. I have everything I need, but space can sometimes be an issue. It was due to this reason that I refrained from bringing a couch in here up until now. I have relied on chairs, lots of chairs. I have about 5 chairs around my apartment, some more comfortable than others. I have even more chairs up in storage, but there has not been a couch in my possession for many years.
I'm very happy to say that the days of me not having a couch are finally over. My mom is a member of Wayfair's Tried & True program. This allows her to receive two free items each month in exchange for an honest review of the product. She has gotten me a lot of great things in the past such as a computer desk, tv stand, several chairs, and more. This month my mom managed to score the biggest win yet. She got me a brand new couch and it is absolutely perfect for my small living room.
The exact couch that I got can be found at this link. I went with the Gray Velvet color and I love the gold legs. It retails for $640, but we got it for free! The only thing my mom will have to do is list all of this free stuff on her taxes at the end of the year, but it always ends up being many miles cheaper than paying for the furniture outright.
The only negative thing about getting all of this stuff from Wayfair is the building process. Putting these pieces together is sometimes easy and other times very tasking. My dad delivered this one to me last night and I assured him I could build it solo. It very likely could have been considered a two-person job and I didn't have anyone to help. I got creative and used the box that it came in as a prop to get certain pieces at the height needed for me to be able to screw in everything. I won't say it was easy, I was definitely pouring the sweat. However, I did manage to finish it in under 2 hours.
Shoutout to my mom and dad for being the best parents and always believing in me!
It took us a while, but the couch certainly was not the most difficult thing I have had to put together. My tv stand takes that record for certain, damn was that one major pain. Also, my gaming chair was a pretty big pain too. I'm always so relieved once the setup is finished and I can start enjoying my new furniture.
Now for a brief review of the couch. Is this couch comfortable? Hell yes, it is! This thing is so soft, the velvet texture is something I very much love sitting/laying on. I immediately felt right at home on this couch. I won't claim that it is the most comfortable couch in existence, but it certainly suits my needs.
All-in-all I am very pleased with this couch and amazed that my mom somehow managed to snag it. The items are always first come first serve and the most expensive things (like couches) always go fast. That means she was scouring the app right as they added the couch to the program. Thanks for being on it mom and thank you so much for always thinking of me.
@flowerbaby is just excited as I am about this couch. She's been begging me to get a couch for multiple years now. In the past, we have always been stuck sitting in separate chairs when watching a movie or tv on my nice tv, which is in the living room. This means we can finally cuddle up together and both be cozy. This is perhaps the best part about finally having a couch. It will also be nice to chill on the couch by myself as it will be my new gaming sofa.
