Never miss an opportunity, maybe luck is in it

When you meet a lady bird, or a lady bug, what do you think of? Of course, what is seen is a cute color and some colors that often look attractive on the sides of the wings

Sometimes people often ignore him, things are influenced by his very mini and small body condition, so when someone meets him they often ignore him.

At first glance, if you look at this very small body, you assume that its presence in a habitat has no impact, but did you know that its presence in an area has its own meaning.

Become a farmer's friend

By naked eye, when looking at his very small body, it would be very difficult to find a title above as a farmer's friend. The meaning here is that its presence in every plant cultivation at the farmer's workshop makes the farmer happy. Why?

In general, when the plant is being cultivated, it will certainly become the center of attention of other insect species that want to dominate the area, with the intention that insect species that fall into the category of pests or leaf destroyers will compete for it. The task of the pest will eat every leaf that will grow. Well... This is where the focus of our attention is focused, because when the insects that will dominate the area will be stopped or have obstacles, because the Lady bird will have the opportunity to get food from the pest's body.

Over time, pests that come from leaf-eating insects will continue to be present and breed in the location, along with the development of ladybugs will also be present and make new nests, if the presence of these pests dominates the habitat. Then the ladybugs will also control the same land, but the purpose is different, if the pest's goal is to damage the leaves, the ladybugs will eat all kinds of pests.

Here we see that we can make a simple calculation, if the number of ladybirds and the number of leaf-destroying pests have a balance measure, the farmers' crops will automatically be saved, but if the calculation is one-sided (more pests) then losses will befall each farmer. Likewise with a one-sided calculation (more ladybirds) then the leaves will be saved and eventually the plant will continue to grow until the end of the harvest.

We ourselves can make a simple experiment, by planting a small plant, then in a few days the plant will continue to grow, then by itself, the pests will arrive, when you see the pest population is at a level that can be overcome, take two ladybirds then see what happens. Of course, one by one the attacking pests will automatically disappear by being eaten by the ladybird. So here is the assumption that he is a farmer's friend in that regard. Not others.

Thus it can be concluded, this ladybird is not a pest but a species of beetle that protects plants in its own way. However, it is very unfortunate that some farmers in our area, often put pest poison on each of their cultivated plants without paying attention to the presence of the ladybird. In fact, if we look closely enough they are eradicating the pest. However, the calculation is in the above calculation.

Become a cannibalist

Cannibalism is often directed at humans who eat fellow humans, and we understand the explanations that come from every history and story of the past or the future. It turns out that the term is also often experienced by wildlife, one of which is the character of ladybirds.

Every advantage must have a disadvantage against an object, what is it? Let's see the character of the ladybird.

Cannibalism will be inherited from ladybirds, for several reasons, including :

1 Have a lack of feed

Ladybugs will be polite or not vicious, if there is enough food available, meaning that if in an area there is a lot of insect dominance (plant pests), the ladybug will be happy to respond, because in front of her eyes she can see and there is soft food without having to go to other areas. However, if there is a shortage of victims in an area, ladybugs will slaughter each other for food.

When the atmosphere is tense in his family, then here there will be a fierce battle between each other, of course in his own way (to be explained in a future post). The struggle will often occur so the loser will be made a unique meal for the winner. The strong ladybird will continue to intimidate the weak, during a famine, well, this is clearly what happens when times are not favorable.

The story of cannibalism occurs when the stomach is empty and there is not enough food in its domination area. So the victims are each other, but cannibalism does not only happen when the above things happen, but when?

2 Competition in determining territory

Like other animals, it will be seen that bloodshed will occur if a territory is controlled by a certain group, even though the newcomers are from the same species. For animals, this instinct will continue, meaning that the strong will dominate an area while the loser will leave and form a new territory.

When ladybirds from other regions go in search of a new location to find food, of course, they will enter a certain area, sometimes the early rulers do not agree with the arrival of the newcomer. So this is where the fight breaks out, the struggle will continue until it is seen or found the loser, like the story above, the loser will receive the consequences, either the arrival or the initial ruler. In essence one of them will be the victim.

This cannibalism, often seen well in determining territory, or when there is a shortage of food. The question is, will this cannibalism last forever and have become their character?

The answer, of course there is, but the explanation will be discussed on another occasion, of course in the same community, see the reviews in this blog. Thank you so much for supporting it.
