Chlorophorus and its state

Welcoming in my blog...

After a long time, I personally haven't seen this type of wood beetle again, the last time I saw it was when I was in junior high school, and today, saw it again on one of the leaves of a wild plant. Our locals here call it the long-horned beetle, in nonverbal language of course. But in scientific language it is often called Chlorophorus.

(Chlorophorus)

Looking back, I can imagine when I was a child, at that time we and our friends often caught it and used it as a game tool, interestingly at that time its color and long horns were often never silent when holding it. Some of our friends chose the big one and made it a fighting game (match).

Even though they didn't want to do a competitive action, they still did it, that was the kids at that time.

In private, little is known about them, due to the influence of rarely seeing, if any, they often hide and nest in the dense foliage of large wild plants, so that the eye cannot see their small bodies. As I recall, they often stabbed dead wood lying on the ground, and there were also trees that were still alive. It means a growing tree trunk. It could be said that the nest was in a hollow log, so it was natural that he rarely saw it on the leaf surface, even if like now he met this pair of beetles, because they had important needs, such as having a hubungan asmara, or getting married.

Visually, not a certain observation, the male will come out of the log or from the thick leaves to create attraction (stimulation) so that the female will attract attention, if the female is attracted to the male stimulus then immediately an important relationship occurs.

This pair of long-horned beetles, looks the same size, both female and male, unlike some other species of insects or beetles, sometimes the female is larger than the male. It is also seen that the male insect species is larger than the female.

While the mating process looks exactly like other animals, the female has her back to the male, and the male is often in a position on or on the female's back. Although it also looks like Pak Pucung's wedding ritual, which often attracts the attention of experts in a relationship with the intention of often seeing the positions of men and women who are facing each other (opposite directions).

It seems that this month is their mating season because there are several pairs that are having sex, and it is also seen that others are still alone and are still doing a stimulus action to invite the female to come closer.

In plain view of the author's eyes, seeing that there are dozens of pairs and hundreds of other tails performing a stimulation ritual, just like other animals, certainly makes an attraction in persuading the opposite sex. Sometimes there are also those who do not find the meaning because there are shortcomings, with a note that the female is a little far from the male, so that the process occurs slowly, in making a decision.

However, I personally managed to capture this one moment, and at least managed to capture some clear photos (in my opinion), and clearly visible in a photo with a macrophotography nuance. For more details, you can enjoy yourself some of the pictures that have been uploaded in this post.

Here are some of the best photos in my opinion, seen below.

It's nice to share this with you, maybe with this simple post, it can make you happy and at least can add scientific insight, even though it is known not by official observation, but the review or description is based on a brief eye view.
