How you can make a paper watermelon

in #hive-1305602 years ago

It's another day with a whole new adventure, so I was going through the internet and i something caught my attention, a DIY on how to make a paper watermelon, it's so easy and I thought it would be fair I share the steps with you guys, permit my choice of colors, atleast it will still look like a watermelon

MATERIALS REQUIRED

• 10cm x 10cm red cardboard paper
• 1cm x 10cm orange/yellow cardboard paper
• 1.5cm x 10cm green cardboard paper
• Glue

We start by, first of all gluing the green cardboard paper to the edges of the red paper, then followed by the yellow one about 1cm away from the green and lastly using a pencil or black pen we draw the black dots of a watermelon as seen below.

We then proceed to the folding part, you can decide to first of all bend the cardboard four time till it turns to 1cm paper, so you can get the lines to fold, or you start the folding process at once using 1cm spacing, you can use a ruler if necessary just to get the lines straight

After the folding aspect is done, we bend the paper into two equal parts as shown below, this is to enable the green and yellow part come together to give you that yummy watermelon look.

And lastly, you add glue In-between the already bent paper, so it will stick together, this part is very tricky as it can spoil the entire work, as well as the glue staining your fingers if you are not careful, well after that your paper watermelon is done and dusted

CONCLUSION
I told you it was simple and easy to try, anyone can make this as a gift for his/her friends or rather still to keep the children busy, when you are trying to work, see you next week with possibly another Do It Yourself Tutorial, Byeeee.

Hey @catiye it would be really awesome if you can also do an introduction. Anyway, just additional extra tips from me @macchiata a part of @lovesniper team from @ocd. There are some information that I want you to have a look:

  1. Exploring communities on hive OCD Communities Incubation Program and https://peakd.com/communities for all communities on hive
  2. For tips and information as a Hive newbie, click here: newbie guide.
  3. The important thing is Hive is a bit different from other social media platforms since you are monetizing your blog. You can't include content that you don't own without sources. For more information, check this post: Why and How People Abuse and Plagiarise.

If you have questions or concerns, you can hop into OCD's Discord server or you can tag @macchiata if you have further question. I'd be happy to help.

Have a nice day and have fun exploring hive!
