Desde hace unos días estoy trabajando en una serie de pulseras tejidas para el catálogo que quiero crear de mi emprendimiento Lakrearte.
Tengo pensado irles compartiendo todo lo que vaya creando. Serán diseños únicos y bastante llamativos. Esto quiero que sea el sello de esta nueva etapa.
Estos diseños los encontré en uno de los bancos de patrones que hay en Internet. Me dediqué a colocar en un documento varios patrones y los imprimí para no tener que estarme fijando a cada rato en mi teléfono, ni en la computadora.
Ha sido mucho más cómodo trabajar de esta forma y así puedo tenerlos a la mano sin agotar de más mi vista viendo una pantalla. Así que les contaré como fue el proceso para crear esta pulsera a continuación.

Since a few days ago I'm working on a series of woven bracelets for the catalog I want to create for my venture Lakrearte.
I plan to share with you everything I create. They will be unique and quite striking designs. I want this to be the hallmark of this new stage.
I found these designs in one of the pattern banks on the Internet. I put several patterns in a document and printed them out so I wouldn't have to keep looking at my phone or computer all the time.
It has been much more comfortable to work this way and this way I can have them at hand without exhausting my sight watching a screen. So I will tell you how was the process to create this bracelet next.
Este diseño me gustó desde que lo encontré. Parecen ojos turcos. En total utilicé 8 hilos de unos 85 centímetros de largo cada uno.
Para este diseño (ya que tengo la experiencia), les recomiendo que coloquen unos 10 centímetros más para los hilos de color negro. Yo me quedé corta y la pulsera no quedó del largo adecuado.
Cuando iba a tejer las trenzas del final los hilos me quedaron cortos y por esto no pude quedarme con ella 😓💔
Pero espero pronto estar tejiendo una para mi. jejeje
I liked this design from the moment I found it. It looks like Turkish eyes. In total I used 8 threads of about 85 centimeters long each.
For this design (since I have the experience), I recommend you to use about 10 centimeters more for the black threads. I was short and the bracelet was not the right length.
When I was going to weave the braids at the end, the threads were too short and that's why I couldn't keep it 😓💔.

Una vez cortados los hilos los uní con un nudito en la parte superior. Los coloqué en mi nueva base para tejer pulseras (pronto les hablaré un poco más de ella) y acomodé los hilos según el orden que me indicaba el patrón.
Al principio estas pulseras lucen como un perfecto desastre, por eso es importante seguir el orden de los colores para que el diseño nos salga perfecto.
Once the threads were cut, I joined them with a knot at the top. I placed them on my new base for weaving bracelets (I'll tell you more about it soon) and arranged the threads according to the order indicated in the pattern.
At first these bracelets look like a perfect mess, that's why it's important to follow the order of the colors so that the design will be perfect.
Se avanza lento pero una vez logramos completar por primera vez el patrón, todo comienza a tomar sentido. Yo llevo años tejiendo pulseras y el lograr dominar la lectura de los patrones cuesta al principio, pero con práctica todo resulta más fácil.
Poco a poco fui avanzando, cuidando como les comenté antes, verificar que el orden de los colores este correcto en todo momento, pues hacer un nudo en el sentido que no es puede arruinar el trabajo unos nudos más adelante.
It's slow going but once we complete the pattern for the first time, everything starts to make sense. I have been knitting bracelets for years and mastering the reading of the patterns is hard at first, but with practice everything becomes easier.

En todo momento iba verificando el patrón para no equivocarme. Hay infinidad de diseños hermosos y hay unos más complejos que otros.
Mi idea es poder crear unos con mayor cantidad de hilos, pero como tengo tiempo sin tejer, preferí comenzar con unos no tan complejos y a medida que vaya avanzando y logré completar todo los de la hoja que imprimí, iré aumentando el grado de dificultad.
At all times I was checking the pattern so as not to make a mistake. There are an infinite number of beautiful designs and some are more complex than others.
My idea is to be able to create some with more yarns, but as I have some time without knitting, I preferred to start with some not so complex and as I progress and I managed to complete all the ones on the sheet I printed, I will increase the degree of difficulty.
Cuando estaba creando esta pulsera pensé que sería buena idea dictar una serie de clases de forma virtual en las que pudiera enseñar a otras personas a hacer este tipo de tejido. Pronto estaré estructurándolas para cumplir con este objetivo.

When I was creating this bracelet I thought it would be a good idea to teach a series of virtual classes in which I could teach other people how to make this type of weaving. Soon I will be structuring them to accomplish this goal.

Ya había alcanzado el largo ideal de una pulsera que son unos 11 centímetros. En total tejí 5 veces el patrón. Luego hice algunos nudos para dale forma de V al final e hice uno nudo dividiendo los hilos a la mitad.
Luego hice las dos trenzas (que me quedaron una más larga que la otra) y así finalicé la pulsera.
I had already reached the ideal length of a bracelet which is about 11 centimeters. In total I wove 5 times the pattern. Then I made some knots to give it a V shape at the end and I made a knot dividing the threads in half.
Then I made the two braids (one was longer than the other) and that's how I finished the bracelet.
En esta clase de pulseras, a veces es mejor que nos sobre hilo a que nos vaya a faltar, pero como yo cuento con pocos materiales, prefiero trabajar una medida estándar. Aunque pueden pasar cosas como lo que me ocurrió al finalizar esta pulsera.
Por eso también me gusta la idea de hacer el catálogo, así puedo saber con exactitud cuanto material gasto en cada modelo.

In this kind of bracelets, sometimes it is better to have too much thread than too little, but as I have few materials, I prefer to work with a standard size. Although things can happen like what happened to me when I finished this bracelet.
