Hace unos meses les compartí la historia de cómo asistí a unos 15 años donde brindé un servicio junto a mi anterior proyecto. Este consistía en una asistencia para que los invitados pintaran sus huellas sobre un cuadro que hice previamente con motivo de Rapunzel.
Ya de eso les hablé bastante, pero el día de hoy les quiero compartir el proceso de ese cuadro en el cual las personas fueron pintando sus huellas a lo largo de la fiesta.
La mamá de la quinceañera me contactó vía telefónica para pedirme el cuadro para la fiesta de su hija. Ella me comentó que el motivo era "Rapunzel", pero la de la película "Enredados".
En un principio quería que hiciera una gran lámpara, de esas que salen en la película que elevan al cielo para pedir deseos, pero luego cambió de parecer gracias a la sugerencia de una hermana y le pareció mejor que pintara el castillo.
El cambio de idea me vino bastante bien, pues me parecía más chévere hacerlo de esta forma, así las huellas serían las lámparas en el cielo.

A few months ago I shared with you the story of how I attended a 15 years where I provided a service along with my previous project. This consisted of an assistance for the guests to paint their handprints on a painting I made previously with a Rapunzel motif.
I've already told you a lot about it, but today I want to share with you the process of this painting in which people painted their handprints throughout the party.
The mother of the quinceañera contacted me by phone to ask me for the painting for her daughter's party. She told me that the motif was “Rapunzel”, but the one from the movie “Tangled”.
At first she wanted me to make a big lamp, one of those in the movie that they raise to the sky to make wishes, but then she changed her mind thanks to the suggestion of a sister and she thought it was better to paint the castle.
The change of idea came to me quite well, because I thought it was cooler to do it this way, so the footprints would be the lamps in the sky.
Para comenzar tracé la silueta del cielo en una hoja y luego la pasé al lienzo. Lo mismo hice con las letras, las cuales dibujé primero en una hoja y luego las calqué en la parte inferior del cuadro.
To begin with, I traced the silhouette of the sky on a sheet of paper and then transferred it to the canvas. I did the same with the letters, which I first drew on a sheet of paper and then traced them on the lower part of the painting.
Ahora era momento de darle color, el cielo era morado con un ligero degradado. En este punto no sabía muy bien como ejecutar la idea que tenía en mente, así que apliqué con una esponja el color morado con un poco de fucsia y luego fui oscureciendo con un tono más oscuro.
Now it was time to give color, the sky was purple with a slight gradient. At this point I didn't quite know how to execute the idea I had in mind, so I applied with a sponge the purple color with a little fuchsia and then I went darker with a darker tone.
El resultado no me convencía, por lo que dejé eso así y decidí dedicarme a las letras y la silueta del castillo.
Con la pintura negra hice todo el borde del castillo, luego las letras y me dediqué a pintar todo lo que era el área negra.
The result did not convince me, so I left it like that and decided to dedicate myself to the letters and the silhouette of the castle.
With the black paint I did all the border of the castle, then the letters and I painted all the black area.
Acá se me fue un buen rato, pues había que tener sumo cuidado en los detalles para que todo quedara perfecto.

Una vez terminé de pintar todo de negro, comencé a trabajar en el espacio en blanco que había entre el cielo y el castillo.
Para esto utilicé la pintura morada y fui delineando nuevamente toda la silueta del castillo. Luego rellené los espacios con la pintura morada.
Once I finished painting everything black, I started to work on the white space between the sky and the castle.
For this I used the purple paint and outlined again the whole silhouette of the castle. Then I filled in the spaces with the purple paint.
Después me dediqué a pintar las letras con la pintura dorada. Para afinar detalles corregí las líneas con la pintura negra, así lograba unas letras mejor definidas.
Then I painted the letters with the gold paint. To refine details I corrected the lines with the black paint, thus achieving better defined letters.
Luego acomodé un poco el tono del cielo y comencé a hacer unas pequeñas manchitas doradas en el cielo cerca del castillo, simulando algunas lámparas.

Finalmente en la parte superior hice unas nubes en la parte más clara y luego pinté el borde del cuadro con la pintura dorada (este detalles no se nota en las fotos).
Así quedó listo el cuadro para la actividad de ese día tan especial para la quinceañera y su familia.
La verdad es que quedé súper contenta con el resultado y la mamá de la chica quedó súper agradecida con todo. Espero que a ustedes también les haya gustado. ♥

This is how the picture was ready for the activity of that special day for the quinceañera and her family.
