Toda mujer (y hombre también) tiene una prenda favorita que quizá por un accidente o por el paso del tiempo se ha ido deteriorando, y aunque podemos reemplazarla nos rehusamos a dejarla 🥹❤️🩹
Justamente eso pasó con uno de mis pantalones clásicos favorito... Se me mancho de pintura de paredes, pero esas pinturas que no se caen con nada, y aunque me gustaba demasiado esas manchas lo hacían lucir sucio.
Me daba lastima agarrarlo para estar en casa o botarlo, entonces intenté quitarle las manchas con mil y una cosas, pero no lo conseguí... Primero se caía la pintura de mis uñas que la mancha del pantalón.😖
Entonces... Se me ocurrió la brillante idea de ¡¿Y si lo bordo?! Si, eso no me puede llevar mucho rato... (Pensé) Jajajaja 12 horas después y aún seguía pegada en el pantalón bordandolo pues lo hice con hilo y aguja tradicionales y eso me llevo full tiempo, ademas que llené la pierna del pantalón con demasiados corazones 🥹.
Pero aquí les cuento el proceso!
Every woman (and man too) has a favorite garment that perhaps by an accident or the passage of time has been deteriorating, and although we can replace it we refuse to let it go 🥹❤️🩹
Precisely that happened with one of my favorite classic pants.... It got stained with wall paint, but those paints that don't come off with anything, and even though I liked it too much those stains made it look dirty.
I felt sorry to grab it to be at home or throw it away, so I tried to remove the stains with a thousand and one things, but I did not succeed ... First the paint would fall off my fingernails than the stain on the pants 😖.
Then... I came up with the brilliant idea of What if I get it on board! Yeah, that can't take me long.... (I thought) Hahahaha 12 hours later and I was still stuck on the pants embroidering it as I did it with traditional thread and needle and that took me full time, plus I filled the pant leg with too many hearts 🥹.
But here I tell you the process!

PROCESO
Una vez que localicé cuál era la pierna del pantalón a bordar y los sitios de mayor concentración de pintura, con un lápiz empecé a trazar corazones pequeñitos. No quería que fueran tan exagerados, sino que se vieran delicados.
Los trace en una sola de las piernas porque no afuera recargarlo, también en la parte de atrás de los bolsillos.
Dónde había mayor cantidad de pintura, hice más corazones juntos para disimularlo.

⚪ Needle.
⚪ Patience.
PROCESS
Once I had located the pant leg to be embroidered and the places with the highest concentration of paint, I started tracing tiny hearts with a pencil. I didn't want them to be too exaggerated, but to look delicate.
I traced them on just one of the legs because I didn't want to overload it, and also on the back of the pockets.
Where there was more paint, I did more hearts together to hide it.
El siguiente paso y único fue con el hilo y la aguja, cómo el pantalón es beige, quería un bonito contraste, asi que usé hilo negro.
Y empecé a bordar uno por uno los corazones desde atrás, osea de la parte de adentro del pantalón... Con mucha paciencia... Exagerada paciencia y voluntad 🫠🥹.
Luego ya al terminarlo, lo finalizamos igual por la parte de adentro y cortamos los hilitos excedentes.
The next and only step was with the thread and needle, as the pants are beige, I wanted a nice contrast, so I used black thread.
And I started to embroider one by one the hearts from the back, that is, from the inside of the pants... With a lot of patience... Exaggerated patience and will 🫠🥹.
Then when we finish it, we finish it the same way on the inside and cut the excess yarns.
RESULTS // RESULTADO
Siempre me llamó la atención este tipo de bordados, pero no tenía la más mínima noción, sin embargo aprendí que es cierto el dicho de que "Querer es poder".
Podemos modificar nuestras prendas de tantas maneras, darles una nueva vida útil con sólo unos arreglos como éste.
Estoy felíz por qué ya no tendré que abandonar uno de mis pantalones Favoritos y de ahora en adelante seguiré inventando y bordando todo lo que me pase por delante 😁.

This type of embroidery always caught my attention, but I didn't have the slightest notion, however I learned that it is true the saying that "Will is power".
We can modify our garments in so many ways, give them a new useful life with just a few alterations like this one.
I am happy because I will no longer have to abandon one of my favorite pants and from now on I will continue inventing and embroidering everything that comes my way 😁.
