Compliments of the season great people's of hive DIy. How are you all doing today? I hope you all are doing great and you have a nice sleep.
I am very happy to create a time to share with you guys a post here, which is all about how to change an expired leather of a car dashboard to new. This is actually a DIY post and I promise you guys at the end of this post you are going to learn one or two from me.

When talking about car dashboard, it simple the board that cover the front of the car where the ac, speedometer and other control of the car is located. If your car dashboard expired the leather will pill up and it will not make the interior of the car look somehow that is where most of the people buy dashboard cover to cover which is not the best option. Some people do that because the dont believe it can be change.

To pretend your car dashboard always park in shade because most at times heat from the sun cause the dashboard to spoil fast.

To get this done you need to give it out to a car upholstery to work for you because is technical but simple at the same time if you know how to do it.

For the benefits of this post i will share with you guys some steps i took to change the leather of the dashboard.

Material needed

  • New leather
  • original gum
  • sand paper
  • tape etc.

The pay electrician to loose the board to my shop and am only to remove replace the leather.

Firstly i use knife and hand to pill out the old leather from the board.

After removing all the old leather, i then use sand paper to sand out the old gum and also make it rough so that the two material can be gum together.

Here is the dashboard after sanding it.

I am done with the first stage and the next this is to gum the leather to the board. I cut the require length of the leather, then place it on the board, apply gum on both the leather and the board.

Straight it well and then gum them together.
I then trim out the access leather, open the ac and the speaker hole then clip the cover and here is the outcome of the leather.

Is this not amazing. The outcome look so beautiful.
I am happy to see my self doing this and God has really bless me with it.
Thanks everyone for your time, i really appreciate.
