That afternoon, as I was exploring the bushes behind my house, I found something very interesting—a small insect with a unique and striking shape. After I took a closer look using a macro lens, I realized that this insect was Oxystoma pomonae, a type of beetle with body characteristics that are different from other insects.
Oxystoma pomonae has an elongated body shape with a small head and a distinctive snout. Its body color is predominantly dark brown with fine patterns that are more visible when I take pictures up close. Its movements are slow, but every time I try to approach it, it hides a little behind the leaves, as if aware of my presence.
