This is an interesting thing, water snail eggs stacked on a stick just above the surface of a dead-end river in the depths of the Uruguayan rainforest.

I photographed something similar in Africa in the dry bush where the last small areas of water were where the animals drank.
But these were frog eggs and it looked like a bunch of foam plastic. Completely different habitat, completely different animal, but the same breeding strategy.
