Neptis hylas

Neptis hylas is a species of butterfly that belongs to the Nymphalidae family. This butterfly is found in the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia, and has distinctive features that set it apart from other species.

Neptis hylas has a dark undertone with three white bands on the hind wings. The forewings have a brown and white pattern with a few white stripes running from edge to edge. The hindwings are lightly checkered with three white stripes running from the edge to the center.

Neptis hylas feeds on the nectar of a variety of plants, and plays an important role in pollination. These butterflies are often found in parks and gardens, as well as around water sources.

Neptis hylas wing size ranges from 50 - 60 mm. This butterfly has life stages which include egg, larva, pupa, and adult. This life stage takes about a month, and once the butterflies become adults, they only survive for about a week.

Neptis hylas is a relatively common and not endangered species of butterfly. However, environmental changes and habitat degradation can affect this butterfly population. Therefore, it is important to protect the butterfly's natural habitat and maintain the plants needed as a food source for the butterfly.

Like other butterfly species, Neptis hylas also has an important role in the ecosystem. Butterflies can help maintain the balance of ecosystems by playing an important role in pollinating plants and providing food for other animals such as birds and small mammals.

I love your macro photography. Capturing the butterflies on camera is the biggest challenge that you have overcome very well. Because to capture the butterfly on camera from close up, it flies away. Beautiful photographs.

Thanks buddy.
