Just hear me out before judgement. I've got a good case 😸I like games more than memes. That could be partly due to being more of a lone wolf with few friends & being very comfortable alone.

Beliefs are a fickle thing and they are full of volatility. That's part of crypto. But it's extra true for memecoins. They've got little predictable elements. There's not even much of tokenomics. It's just some fully diluted supply. Sometimes there's a burn mechanism. Rarely there's more.

I Was Never Really Into Memecoins 👨‍💻

If you're not a fan of memecoins you can guess my reasons. But over time I figured there's so much that's worse. Scams, vaporware, VC dumps excessive centralization, no ICO......... list goes on.

Then there's some good stuff with memcoins. They've got strong communities. At least successful ones have some crazy dedicated folks. That's actually something we can have for Hive Dapps.

SocialFi = Community 💬 GameFi = Community 🎮

Just look at artists make drawings of a game to promote it on their on initiative. Then they get votes on blockchain. This is really cool. Now I wanna do few comparisons.

• Memecoins don't have this many characters
• Games/NFTs have lots of characters
• Meme communities can't earn for social interactions
• Most crypto communities can get banned/ shadow banned on web2

We don't have that problem. We've got our layer 0 problems solved. We're just not mobilizing our community right. That's how memes get lot more attention than us. They somehow market better. They don't even have to have a bigger community than Hive. They don't even have to be bigger than Holozing to get started.

Those tokenomics got MOODENG to $257 millions. That's bigger than Hive. It's just a famous pigmy hippo. Hippo goes viral. Someone makes it a meme. Now there's a community around it.

I don't know if I can call any of this substance. But they sure have some serious layer 0. There's folks who find a place to have fun. It's probably all part of social isolation and modernity stuff.

Holo & ZING Are Fun 🎃⚡

I only missed 1 day to get Holo. 1 more claim to end 2024. That'll be the 2nd time we had a Christmas claim. Game is 2+ years now. Even older when you count dev time.

It was nice to have these free claims. I guess 1000+ joined the claim. I got 170 Holo. There's 1 more day left in December. There's 2.7M HP delegated to Holozing. That's a lot of real community interest. I counted 642 delegators. There's other ways to get ZING too!

Even @yabapmatt delegated. He's CEO of Splinterlands. It's another game I play on Hive. These days I earn less glint. I don't see it as a bad thing. When more players join there's more competition for same resources.

That's why it's important to get in early. Even ZING APR was super high when I 1st joined. As communities mature it makes the pie bigger for everyone. But share of pie also go down unless users throw in more funds.

Didn't get into Rebellion. Bear was tough for me. Still I did fine with old NFTs. I bought tiny bit of SPS. Rest of 87K is airdrop and rewards. These similar events should be a common thing for games 😄

Memecoin Super Cycle Theory 🔮❌

It's just a theory. So called experts loose a ton of money too. Even self-made billionaires are full of failures. So don't take some theory as crystal ball. Just listen to what they think.....

Murad goes into more details here. Interview looks less like a sales pitch. He is real when he say 99.9% KOLs in memecoin space are scamers. He makes some good points. I wanna see people buy in for tech. But if tech matters shouldn't Hive be like $10 billion at least? We could just do feeless stablecoin Txs. I don't just mean HBD. There's wrapped stablecoins.
