Greetings Holozing friends. Some time ago I shared with you a post where I showed you a sculpture inspired by Fal.
This little pigeon has two evolutions, today I would like to share with you another sculpture inspired by one of those evolutions, Fally.
Saludos amigos de Holozing. Hace un buen tiempo compartí con ustedes una publicación en donde les mostraba una escultura inspirada en Fal.
Este pequeño pichón tiene dos evoluciones, hoy me gustaría compartir con ustedes otra escultura inspirada en una de esas evoluciones, Fally.
Step by step
This sculpture is very different from Fal's, so I had to make a small skeleton to support all the pieces. Below you can see an example of what the skeleton of the legs, which are quite large, would look like.
Paso a paso
Está escultura es muy diferente a la de Fal, por lo que tuve que hacerle un pequeño esqueleto que sirviera de soporte a todas las piezas. A continuación pueden ver un ejemplo de como sería el esqueleto de las patas, que son bastante grandes.
Based on this base I made more legs, then the body of the figure, which I made in light skin color.
This is the base on which the rest will be built.
En base a esta base le hice más patas, luego el cuerpo de la figura, el cual hice de color piel clara.
Está es la base sobre la cuál se construirá lo demás.
And the rest is another layer of brown plasticine which is the upper part of the bird's body.
If you look at the image below, you can see that I made a series of cuts in what would be the tail, these are the three upper tail feathers, at least the three brown ones.
Y lo demás es otra capa de plastilina de color marrón que es la parte superior del cuerpo del ave.
Si se fijan en la imagen de abajo, podrán observar que hice una serie de cortes en lo que sería la cola, estas son las tres plumas superiores de la cola, al menos las tres de color marrón.
Then I made the chest a little more pronounced, like the chest of a pigeon. Then to finish what would be the part of the tail, I placed the three black feathers, which would be much larger than the brown feathers.
A continuación le hice el pecho un poco mas pronunciado, como el pecho de un palomo. Luego para finalizar lo que sería la parte de la cola, le coloqué las tres plumas de color negro, que vendrían a ser mucho más grandes que las plumas de color marrón.
For the wings I made a kind of three-fingered hand. Fally's wings are huge so I didn't make them small, on the contrary, if you look closely you can see that they are very large.
Besides the brown color I used on the whole body of the bird, I also used the same light skin color of the chest to make the four feathers at the end of the wings.
Para las alas hice una especie de mano de tres dedos. Las Alas de Fally son enormes así que no las hice de un tamaño pequeño, al contrario, si se fijan pueden observar que son de gran tamaño.
Además del color marrón que utilicé en todo el cuerpo del ave, también usé el mismo color piel claro del pecho para hacer las cuatro plumas que tiene en el extremo de las alas.
To attach the wings to the character's body I used a wire, so that it would stay attached to Fally despite its large size.
Para fijar las alas en el cuerpo del personaje usé un alambre, de modo que se mantuviera unido a Fally a pesar de ser de gran tamaño.
For the head I used a different shade of brown, a more intense and reddish one. So when I had the body finished, I simply used a small toothpick to make numerous lines along the body to simulate that plumage-like texture.
Para la cabeza usé una tonalidad distinta de marrón, una más intensa y rojiza. Así cuando tuve terminado el cuerpo, simplemente usé un pequeño palillo para hacer numerosas líneas a lo largo del cuerpo para simular esa textura similar al plumaje.
Finally, I made the front part, a sort of black mask above the beak, where the character's eyes are.
Ya para finalizar le hice la parte frontal, una suerte máscara de color negro encima del pico, en dónde están los ojos del personaje.
This way Fally was finished. Below you can see a series of photographs of the final result:
