Comencé haciendo el cuerpo con verde, hice seis puntos bajos en un anillo y luego hice seis aumentos por hilera hasta obtener 42 puntadas, hice 8 hileras sin aumentos y luego hice 6 disminuciones por hilera hasta obtener 24, cambiando en el proceso el color de hilo a beige para el rostro del ave hasta llegar al cuello, luego hice 6 aumentos por hilera hasta obtener 42 nuevamente, hice 15 hileras sin aumentos, y luego 6 disminuciones por hilera hasta cerrar por completo, rellenando antes de cerrar. Usé ojos de seguridad por lo que los puse apenas terminé la cabeza.

With light yellow thread I made the base of the picó and with slightly darker yellow thread I made the top. The tail consists of two parts, a red one that I made based on 10 chains, making two increases on one side every two rows until obtaining 14 stitches and then making two decreases every two rows until obtaining 10 stitches again, in the orange part of the tail. I had to differentiate the three points, the central one being the largest. I sewed both parts to the body.

Con hilo amarillo claro hice la base del picó y con hilo amarillo un poco más oscuro hice la parte superior. La cola consta de dos partes, una roja que hice tomando de base 10 cadenas haciendo dos aumentos de un lado cada dos hileras hasta obtener 14 puntadas y luego haciendo dos disminuciones cada dos hileras hasta obtener 10 puntadas nuevamente, en la parte naranja de la cola tuve que hacer diferenciar las tres puntas siendo la central la más grande. Cosí ambas partes al cuerpo.

For the light green wings I made 14 base chains, I made 1 increase on one side every other row until I had 20 stitches. For the dark green wings I made 8 base chains, I made 2 increases on one side every other row until I had 16 stitches. For the dark green feathers I used a stitch where I made 4 chains and 4 single crochets over the chains to create the feather effect.

Para las alas verde claro hice 14 cadenas de base, hice 1 aumento de un lado cada dos hileras hasta obtener 20 puntadas. Para las alas verde oscuro hice 8 cadenas de base, hice 2 aumentos de un lado cada dos hileras hasta obtener 16 puntadas. Para las plumas verde oscuro usé una puntada donde hice 4 cadenas y 4 puntos bajos sobre las cadenas para crear el efecto de plumas.

With orange thread I made the feathers that are on the forehead just above the peak. With beige thread I made the feathers on the chest and with light green thread I made the crest on the head.

Con hilo naranja hice las plumas que están en la parte de la frente justo arriba del picó. Con hilo beige hice las plumas del pecho y con hilo verde claro hice el copete de la cabeza.

For the legs I started making the fingers in a differentiated way with 4 single crochets in a ring and 4 rows of single crochets, I joined three fingers and made decreases until I obtained 4 stitches and made the back finger. The trick is to insert wire into each finger so that the bird can hold on. With black and white thread I made details for the eyes.

Para las patas empecé haciendo los dedos de forma diferenciada con 4 puntos bajos en un anillo y 4 hileras de puntos bajos, uní tres dedos he hice disminuciones hasta obtener 4 puntos y hacer el dedo de atrás. El truco está en introducir alambre en cada dedo para que el ave se pueda sostener. Con hilo negro y blanco le hice detalles a los ojos.

Result / Resultado

I loved doing this project, although I had to use my imagination to make the bird without the wings spread as it is in the reference image, I also wanted to give it a slightly more realistic appearance within the possibilities that crochet offers, since the idea was not It was not a copy but an interpretation of the image converted into amigurumi. I like that it can be held on its legs and that opens up many possibilities for choosing the place to perch the bird. I hope you like it.

Me encantó hacer este proyecto, aunque tuve que usar mi imaginación para hacer el ave sin las alas extendidas como está en la imagen de referencia, además quise darle un aspecto un poco más realista dentro de las posibilidades que ofrece el crochet, pues la idea no era hacer un copia sino una interpretación de la imagen convertida en amigurumi, me gusta que se puede sostener en sus patas y eso abre muchas posibilidades para elegir el lugar donde posar al ave.
