Have you ever heard about the @holozing game? I learnt about it recently.
As always, I do first, then think. So, I bought the so-called vial for almost 68 HIVE. I think it is pretty expensive. (Now I need to work hard on writing posts. lol)
Why I bought it? Because it is the only item sold in the shop. After several trials to open that vial, I went back to the shop to read about it :)
Also, I went to the game's official account @holozing to learn more about the game. I found an official post about the game.
Then I read about Vials, which I bought. As @acidyo said, we will be able to open them a little bit later. But now, we can earn some ZING tokens to hold vials.
I still have no idea how to play the game, and when will be the beta release or full release (maybe I missed that announcement), but that is what I learned so far.
And I should mention that the game has cute characters, and maybe that is one of the reasons I decided to learn about it more and buy some ZING tokens and VIAL :)
What is Holozing
HoloZing is a Web3 enabled monster catching, training, and battling game. It draws strong inspiration from classics like Pokémon and World of Warcraft. The game has four unique elements that set it apart from similar games and other web3 games.
HoloZing is the brainchild of longtime Hive user and contributor @acidyo (Acid), who is perhaps best known for growing and running the OCD (Original Content Decentralized) and POSH (Proof Of Sharing) projects on Hive.
The surprising thing is that the game's alpha was finished in 2023...How come I learned about it just now? It seems I wasn't around for those 2 years lol.
Game token - Zing
There is an in-game token - ZING.
Today 1 ZING = 0.0027 HIVE, so if you plan to try the game, maybe it is a good time to buy some ZING tokens.
Also, you can stake those tokens and get payouts. On the game website, they have a nice table that shows different ways to earn ZING and APY% of each of the methods.
How much I earn now
I don't play the game because I don't think we can do it now or I couldn't figure out how to do it. But I already earn some...money based on the game assets I have.
I have 3 different sources of ZING payouts now.
Delegation
I delegated 200 HP to @zingtoken and bought around 1,000 tokens on the Hive-Engine as well. So, all the tokens I bought I staked.
Staked ZING
I bought 1,000 Zing tokens and staked them
Vial
Also, I paid 67.966 HIVE and bought 1 VIAL.
I shared the table with APR% per each earning method, so I won't repeat myself. But I will share with you how much I get per day. I don't use the liquidity pool. At least, not yet.
When you claim your rewards they go directly to the staked ZING balance.
Based on the numbers I see, the most profitable investment is VIAL now. I get around 90 ZING for 68 HIVE paid. And 90 zing = 0.23 HIVE. So, VIAL has a 3 times higher payout than delegation while paying 3 times less HIVE. On the other hand, delegation is made in HIVE and we can undelegate them at any time.
So, based on the current ZING price, it will take me around 295 days to earn 68 HIVE for holding the VIAL.
Yes, investing in VIALs is risky and we don't know if the ZING price will go down. Also, the earned ZINGs go to the stake balance and it will take time to unstake them. But well, a high APR is always high risk.
To sum up, here are my investments and daily payouts:
- 1,000 staked ZING = 0.245 ZING
- 200 delegated HIVE = 24.4 HIVE
- 68 HIVE spent on 1 VIAL = 89.7 ZING
That is my research and observations, I might be wrong or misunderstood something about the game and its tokenomics. But again, it is my opinion and my thoughts. DYOR.
