Hello, everyone! 😊
This morning, most of the songs on the radio are now in season! ♪✨ Christmas is slightly different for adults I think, haha. I think Christmas gets boring as I age, haha. Coz I remember Christmas was a lot more fun when I was a kid. I just was the end-year bonus and food, haha. But then again, let's not forget the real meaning of Christmas. 😊
Art Process
Using the sketch pen first to do the initial draft. I was choosing between light healer and ocean healer, but I thought the latter's hair would be a nice blend of the red outfit. Next, I used a pencil-texture pencil for the lineart. I am practicing to lightly use the physical pen as I recently experienced a dull pain in my wrist haha. I think I got it from holding the heavy grocery bag for too long. It got better though, so I just have to rest it.
Next is to use the bucket tool to fill the spaces. For me, the bucket tool is the most efficient tool to color big spaces. I used the edge eraser for the color beyond the lineart.
For the shadows, I mostly used multiply layers. For some time, I thought it was better to do the normal layer and adjust the opacity. Well, it always depends on what I am working on. Here is a mix kind of layers. Next, I used a glow pen on the face and on the clothing. Those snowflakes were a downloadable pen from the asset store.
Final Art
I just manually ddrew the wreaths and those glowing bulbs. I thought of putting more dots nuances for more details. I then blurred out the background to highlight the character.
Finished art! ✨
