Art Process
This time around, I wanted to make a close-up portrait shot. Since it is a close-up, I picked a square canvas. The expression that I will be using is somewhat a ready-to-fight or something intense. 😁 I just roughly sketched the pose using a colored pen.
For the lineart, I separated the layers of the hair and eyes so that I could easily adjust the elements later on. Next, I filled the spaces with the base colors. The white of the eyes is weird right now but trust the process.
I then worked on the shadows. I chose a color that will match the white of the eyes. I used the smudge and blur brush to soften the shadow's hard edges, especially on the top of the hair. Next, I applied the blushes on the cheeks, lips, and nose. Slowly building the shine of the skin and hair.
Final Art
Intensify the shine by using glow dodge and add glow mode. Those pink zaps is a downloaded brush from the Asset store and used the motion blur to make them appear moving. Lastly, I applied a noise filter for added texture.
Finished art!
