My inspo for today is Summertime. ππ₯°
I modified Forest Healer's hair in a version with braids and some bangs. The background would be a colorful beach umbrella. I hid the other hand because I know to myself that I will be running out of time or me just avoding it haha.
Next, applying the base colors. The print on the blouse is just images on the asset store. I modified some of the flowers just the liquify tool. I then worked on the cell and soft shadows in multiply mode.
Adding the shines using flat brush and glow dodge. Here, I am experimenting the dark and light. Since the character is over an umbrella, I applied a dark shade on the left side. On the other had, I applied light using glow dodge.

Final Art
The umbrella is manually drawn using a referece. This is the common color of umbrella I see in our beaches. It also a nostalgia for me whenever I see this! Reminds me of going to the beach as a kid. But now, it is super hot so we do not go to the beach anymore. I applied some soft circles for extra detail. I blurred out some parts to show some depths.
