Hey, everyone! Hive is down a bit and so, I have the opportunity to buy some Hive. It is like a sale for me! 😁 I also claim my Zing tokens every day and planning to delegate more in the future. 😁
I enjoyed making creative background for a while. This time, I wanted to put Ocean Healer in a cover magazine.
Art Process
In the first layer, I chose a simple look over the shoulder pose. I just wanted a neutral facial expression, somewhat a model smile look, haha. In the background, I wanted to fill the space with texts and shapes.
I used a solid brush for the lineart. For the base colors, I fill the parts in separate layers. I clipped the layers on top to begin the rendering. I used soft airbrush and smudge brush to erase hard edges.
I intensified the rendering by applying a deeper shade of blue. I added the details on the circlet, the pearls, and the shellfish. At this stage, I already finished doing the eye and blushes on the cheeks and nose. I put all the layers on the folder and colored the background black.
Finished Art
On the final stage, I used the tool text to create the wordings on the background. I used different fonts to have variations. I used the shape tool to create those lines separating the elements. Lastly, I used a blue color in screen mode for the lighting at the back.
Finished art! 🥰
