Hi! How are you? This period is killing my mood right now. These past few days, I have been trying to draw, but they always mess up my brain. LOL, I hope this cycle is done as soon as possible I have a lot of art to share with you all.
I chose Ocean Healer because I remember this month is MERMAY month and it is summer here in the Philippines, maybe for my next art, the mermaid theme is good. I have a lot of ideas but I can't seem to execute it. waaah!
The Process
The Process
For the sketch, I always separate the line art for the portrait and for the background sometimes I have to correct something on the portrait sketch so no hassle when doing that.
Next, I applied all the base colors and added texture to the canvas.
I applied the first layer of shadow and shades to her skin.
I am not satisfied with the size of the portrait so I resized it. The next is I added shadows on her clothes and I added a gradient background color like ocean.
I have this idea in my head that because Ocean Healer is more about water what if I add waves behind her to look like her wings maybe I execute It is simple I was supposed to add more detail but simple is the best.
For the final process, I added a highlight to the part that needed to be highlighted.
Thank you for visiting. See you on my next blog
