Cute & Mighty Fire Wolf. Holozing Fan-Art.

Hello Everyone

How are you?

Welcome to my first post in Holozing Community. Recently a fan art drawing about this new game caught my eye. And then I checked the community and the game itself. It was cool and I mainly liked the characters. Such a smooth and detailed artwork. And since drawing is one of the creative things I know about, I decided to make a fan art of a character and join this new race. I'm looking forward to this journey with Holozing. Now, let's get to the drawing part.

I was searching to find one of the characters like the Ocean Healer or the forest male healer from the Helar Trait contest. But, I could only find 4 characters on the game's site and then decided to draw the Fire Wolf. Below here, I'll share my drawing process step by step. I'll also add the original image so that you can compare them both.

I began the drawing by creating the basic structure of the drawing. This is one of the most important aspects for a drawing to be perfect. The whole result of your work worth hours depends on how to draw the main structure. I also added the detailing lines and made a full visualization of the final result. Now it's time to add colors to it and bring out the final result.

Then on the second step, I started to add the primary colors for my drawing. As you can see I had to add several colors and the skin of the wolf has many colors including the fire theme. The problem while doing this type of drawing is, that it's tough to color those small detailed lines with a brush. And that's why I use two combined techniques. For the lines that have end-to-end connections and have only one color, I use the Fill option to fill the whole area inside that line with one color. And for the others, I paint them normally. Surely color gets out of the line. But, I make sure to draw all of the colors in separate layers. And then I manage those layers by putting one above another accordingly and that makes them perfectly blend.

Then I started to add the details to the color. I used the spray brush tool at 15% transparency with a deep yellow color to give the wolf skin this yellow shade that put the effect of an object glowing because of the light from a fire nearby. But, the skin is yet not complete. It needs more work to do. I then also started to add the other colors like the fire colors and I completed the drawing of the eyes in this step.

As I said, the skin wasn't complete. I completed this step by drawing the final color strokes and a few more layers of soft spraying. The fire on the tail and eyebrows was not complete either. So, I decided to add some realistic-looking fire instead of drawing them. I took some fire effects from FREEPIK which is a copyright-free image site. Then made some changes to those fire images in Adobe Illustrator to make them usable in my drawing. After adding them to the drawing tool, I used the eraser and blending tool to perfectly blend them all.

Now, with this background added. Here's My Final Image. This Fire effect was also downloaded from FREEPIK.

I hope you liked my drawing. I'm going through a tough and busy time and I'm glad that I was able to find some time to draw and submit this drawing. I'll try my best to be back with something new and I also wish to join the contest. I'll create a unique idea to participate in the contest if I get to be free from all those hassles I've been facing recently in my life. And as always, I'd love to hear what you think about my drawing in the comment section. Your criticism and suggestions help me to improve my skills. So, Thanks in Advance.
