Love The Clouds Contest 150 - The Aussie Stream

Hello everyone. This is the Love The Clouds Contest #150, hosted by @tobetada. Check out the contest post here. Read up and join in the fun.

I didn't realize it has been so long since I last participated in this contest. The last time I submitted an entry was still in contest #134! Wow. That's 16 weeks ago. Well it really isn't because I lost interest in clouds. In fact I have been continuously taking pictures of clouds which I find interesting. It's just that I have been too busy these last few months that getting to do 3 posts a week was already a luxury for me. But for this week, I told myself to find the time to submit an entry just to let our host know that I am still enjoying cloud watching whether I join or not.

That being said, here is my entry for this week. One mid-morning, as I was standing outside the house, I happened to look up and saw this tiny jet plane whizzing through the sky, leaving a trail of white jet stream. I did not have my camera with me then so I rushed back inside the house, got my cell phone, and hurried back outside. To my dismay, the jet was already about to disappear into the clouds. And by the time I was able to focus my camera the plane could not be seen anymore. But the jet stream was still there and so I took the next best shots available. The results I think is still quite interesting even without the plane. The following pictures give me an impression of a thin white line dividing the sky or of some invisible knife slicing thinly through the sky.

Someone told me that this plane passing over our city at 35,000 ft is headed for Australia. My city is located in the south of the country, Philippines, and is in the direction of Australia which is farther down south. About 6 hours more of flying time. It must have been a Qantas Airline. Which explains the title of this post. Aussie bound would have been a good one too 😊

Anyway, that's it for my post. My entry for this week is the first photo. Hope you like it. Keep safe everyone and may peace be with you all, always.

Neat capture with the jet stream in the photo of big fluffy clouds. 😊 🌺

Thanks @redheadpei. I almost did not make it since I had to run inside the house to get my cell phone. Luckily I had a little bit of the tail end to capture.

Thanks for the visit and the comment. Much appreciated 🥰
