It looks like it’s being ages I have not seen rain and the worst part is, only my home and my office area are in the circle where we do not get any rain whereas other parts of my city is experiencing lovely rainy days. We were watching those clouds come and go for last couple of weeks, teasing us and saying we are on our way to make others happy while you wait for some other day.
Weather forecast showed that we will have a thunderstorm today, heavy rain and winds will come to our place. Luckily, it is Sunday so it would be great to enjoy with my family. Since morning, I was looking at the sky, thinking when it will get covered with clouds and water will be dropped from the sky. It was overcast in the morning but later in the day time, it gets sunny and hot once again. All my thoughts and excitement washed away. I made my mind that its not gonna happen today as well.
Me and my family have to attend a ceremony today so we got ready at around 6 pm and I was booking a car suddenly, dark clouds showed their entry through strong winds. WOW it was dramatic, I stopped looking for a car because of those dark clouds. It would be risky to go out in this type of weather, we can get stuck somewhere so better to stay at home. I rushed to the rooftop to keep the generator at some suitable place where rain water won’t harm it. I took some pictures of the atmosphere meanwhile, showering gets started. It was with the wind.
While I was busy looking at the sky, my family joined me at the rooftop. It means going out was permanently cancelled as they have changed their cloths and it was a special day because my parents too joined us at rooftop.
Everyone of us was waiting for some rain very eagerly and that is the reason we all went upstairs to feel the rain drops on our faces. It was not a thunderstorm but a nice and slow rainy evening. Clouds were moving fast and within 15 minutes of time, they all just passed above us with minimal amount of rain. However, it was looking dangerous at first sight but later, it went all clean.
We didn’t get a lot of rain though but still something is better than nothing. We enjoyed our time together at the rooftop watching those clouds and specially the birds roaming around here and there. I hope we are going to get a bit of more rain in coming week as predicted by weather forecast team.
