Sitting in my balcony the other day, as the sun was setting, it looked like the sky was on fire 🔥 as I captured this image of what looked like a mountain in the sky.
Growing up in Egypt, where rain is not common, I am not accustomed to such majestic clouds as I’ve encountered in the USA and Columbia. Here, for example, is a picture of the clouds while hiking on our farm, near Medellin:
But, as anyone familiar with cloud-watching will tell you, it’s their shape-shifting variety that captures our imagination.
Below, for example, is another (less dramatic) picture of the sky I saw on a recent field trip in Florida. The sculpture marked me, because it was how I felt—in awe at the sanctity of life and in a state of worship 🙌🏼
