My entry
It’s been a while! But I think it’s been worth the wait. A couple weeks ago I got to spend a week hiking in the vast and very harsh Karoo Desert in the Western Cape Province of South Africa.
It’s no joke. The place has had 8 years of drought and this summer was the first rain that broke the drought. The owner of the farms’ grandkids had not seen rain as they had all been born during the last 8 years. So we were extremely lucky to have booked for this specific time.
We had streams and pools to swim (or get wet) in and beautiful cloud cover that followed us most days when the wind didn’t blow. And we got to experience powerful electrical storms and thunder in the distance as we hiked.
I’d love to go back and do it all over again, but for now, I’ll leave you with a few photos of the Karoo Desert clouds that I loved so much.
I hope you like them as much as I did.
Thanks to @tobetada for your commitment to #lovetheclouds community and for these wonderful weekend my contests!
Have the best Easter Weekend!
