Este trabajo es un diseño requerido por el cliente, y con varias modificaciones propias, como la postura de la mano. Mi cliente es fanático de los mitos de nuestra cultura ancestral.

Hello friends of the Tattoo World community, today I want to show you this tattoo of an emblematic character of the Mexican culture Mictlantecuhtli "The lord of the mansion of the dead"
This work is a design required by the client, and with several own modifications, such as the position of the hand. My client is a fan of the myths of our ancient culture.
Mictlantecuhtli “El señor de la mansión de los muertos” como sería su traducción, es la deidad quien rige sobre la muerte de los seres humanos en el Mictlán o el infierno azteca. A diferencia de otras mitologías, tanto el Mictlan y Mictlantecuhtli no representan el castigo ni el castigador, sino, aquello que le precede a de la existencia terrenal.
Todos transitarán el Mitlan, sus caminos llevan al Señor de la mansión de los muertos, quienes complete sus niveles y sus pruebas será uno con él y el universo.

Mictlantecuhtli "The lord of the mansion of the dead" as its translation would be, is the deity who rules over the death of human beings in Mictlán or the Aztec hell. Unlike other mythologies, both Mictlan and Mictlantecuhtli do not represent punishment or the punisher, but rather what precedes earthly existence.
Everyone will travel through Mitlan, their paths lead to the Lord of the mansion of the dead, those who complete their levels and their tests will be one with him and the universe.
Para este tatuaje usé dos máquinas de tatuar, una rotativa estilo pen para las líneas y rellenos de zonas pequeñas, y una rotativa en “L” para las sombras y rellenos más grandes,
y con tonos de negro diluidos.
Para la tinta negra utilicé la marca Black pearl y para la blanca tinta Radiant

For this tattoo I used two tattoo machines, a pen-style rotary for the lines and fills of small areas, and an "L" rotary for larger shadows and fills,
and with diluted black tones.
For the black ink I used the Black pearl brand and for the white Radiant ink
La pieza la fui trabajando esta vez con le delineado para definir todo el diseño, luego procedí con lo relleno sólidos para continuar con los distintos tonos en sombra y una vez terminado todo el diseño hice los detalles en tinta blanca.

I worked on the piece this time with the outline to define the entire design, then I proceeded with the solid fill to continue with the different shades of shadows and once the design was finished I made the details in white ink.
Este trabajo es un proyecto con temática azteca que llevara luego otras deidades alrededor de todo el brazo.

De manera personal me gusto mucho hacer este trabajo, ya que creo que debemos hacer más énfasis en nuestras propias raíces. Conocer nuestros orígenes e historias y atesorarlas sin más pretensiones ni prejuicios de las culturas occidentales.

Personally, I really liked doing this work, since I think we should place more emphasis on our own roots. Know our origins and stories and treasure them without more pretensions or prejudices of Western cultures.
