I like to think that in a way we carry some of that animal spirit of those animals with whom we feel more connected. More relatable. I think we have seen this relationship/bond between an animal and a human being several times on different occasions. In films, series, books, our own life, etc. Which is not surprising because animals are beings of great value to our natural balance and who possess great qualities that do not go unnoticed by us. They are aquatic, terrestrial, flying, terrestrial/aquatic, cold-blooded, warm-blooded, vertebrates, invertebrates, etc. All this leads to a great admiration of the human being for the animal world.

Me gusta pensar que en cierta forma nosotros llevamos algo de ese espíritu animal de aquellos animales con los cuales nos sentimos más conectados. Más afines. Creo que esa relación/vínculo que hay entre un animal y un ser humano lo hemos visto varias veces en distintas ocasiones. En películas, series, libros, nuestra propia vida, etc. Lo cual no es sorprendente pues los animales son seres de gran valor para nuestro equilibrio natural y quienes poseen grandes cualidades que no pasan desapercibidas para nosotros. Los hay acuáticos, terrestres, voladores, terrestres/acuáticos, de sangre fría, de sangre caliente, vertebrados, invertebrados, etc. Todo eso conlleva a una gran admiración del ser humano por el mundo animal.
As an exercise in self-knowledge I would like to be able to respond with the utmost frankness to the proposal of the initiative: the three types of animals. And I would start by saying that the first animal that came to my mind after thinking about it is the dog. For me, the dog is not the obedient and slightly clumsy pet that everyone tells us it is, because as the owner of several dogs throughout my life I have understood that more than blind obedience, it is a type of loyalty that corresponds only to those human beings that the dog accepts. They are beautiful, intelligent and talented. Not all dogs are obedient, loving or vulnerable. I also say that some of them have to be "wild", to bring out a survival instinct.
With all this I realise that in a way I am a bit like that. A bit "wild". I tend to be not very receptive to the outside world and its people as I find it very difficult to open up to new people/experiences as I feel a bit defenceless in the face of the unknown. Although that doesn't mean I'm a threat (more like a puppy), I just keep a low profile, surviving in my own way. But once I open my heart I live things with a lot of intensity, enthusiasm, love and I'm not afraid of anything.
Cómo un ejercicio de autoconocimiento me gustaría poder responder con la mayor franqueza a la propuesta de la iniciativa: los tres tipos de animales. Y comenzaría diciendo que el primer animal que se vino a mi mente luego de pensar en ello es el perro. Para mi el perro no es esa mascota obediente y un poco torpe que todos nos dicen qué es, pues cómo dueña de varios perritos a través de mi vida he comprendido que más que obediencia ciega, es un tipo de lealtad que se corresponde solo con aquellos seres humanos que el perrito acepte. Son bellos, inteligentes y talentosos. No todos los perros hacen caso, son amorosos o se muestran vulnerables. Asimismo digo que algunos de ellos les toca ser "salvajes", sacar un instinto de supervivencia.
Con todo esto me doy cuenta que en cierta forma yo soy un poco así. Algo "salvaje". Suelo ser poco receptiva con el mundo exterior y su gente pues me cuesta mucho abrirme con nuevas personas/experiencias ya que me siento algo indefensa ante lo desconocido. Aunque eso no signifique que sea una amenaza (más bien cómo un cachorro), solo me mantengo bajo perfil, sobreviviendo a mi modo. Pero una vez que abro mi corazón vivo las cosas con mucha intensidad, entusiasmo, amor y no tengo miedo a nada.
Now for the second animal I have thought directly of the cat. It is one of my favourite animals and I really enjoy this beautiful companion. The cat for me is not the apathetic and half-interested being that it is generally thought to be. To me the cat is a very intelligent, quite loyal, beautiful and noble being. Again, as with the dog: it is a little understood pet (hehehe). Cat owners know that cats are not easy to win over, but once you gain their trust and love, you have everything. The only bad thing I would say about cats is that they can be a bit nervous and vehement: sometimes they do things out of the blue for no apparent reason. But even that has its charm.
I don't really know if people see me as a cat, although that would be sincerely adorable but also a bit worrying because unlike dogs, not many people like cats. Perhaps from these characteristics I was left with the fact that I do indeed sometimes have "my outbursts" of madness like cats, I tend to be selective and that I also unconsciously have this fear of not being so loved/recognised by others because of the way I am. But to each his own, I know that there are those who adore this little animal and that group is enough for me.
Ahora para el segundo animal he pensado directamente en el gato. Es uno de mis animales favoritos y vaya que gozo de esta compañía tan bonita. El gato para mi no es un ser apático y medio nteresado que se piensa que es generalmente. Para mi el gato es un ser muy inteligente, bastante leal, bello y noble. Nuevamente sucede que con lo del perro: es una mascota poco comprendida (jejeje). El que es dueño de gato sabrá que no son faciles de ganar pero una vez que te ganas su confianza y amor, lo tienes todo. Lo único malo que yo le vería al gato es que pueden ser un poco nerviosos y vehementes: algunas veces hacen cosas de la nada sin razón aparente. Pero es que hasta eso tiene su encanto.
Realmente no sé si las personas me ven cómo un gato, aunque eso sería sinceramente adorable pero también algo preocupante pues a diferencia de los perros, no muchos quieren a los gatos. Quizás de esas características me quedé con que efectivamente, a veces tengo "mis arranques" de locura cómo los gatos, suelo ser selectiva y que inconscientemente también tengo ese miedo a no ser tan querido/reconocido por los otros por cómo soy. Pero para gustos los colores, se que hay quienes adoran a este animalito y ese grupo me basta.
Finally we come to the third animal and for this I chose the horse. For me, the horse is a very strong, helpful (as it has been man's companion for so long), noble, beautiful and elegant animal. I think the only unfavourable point is that they can be irascible and dangerous. But again it all depends. With respect to this vision I would say that perhaps it has come quite close because like the horse, I would like to be able to show what I am capable of; my strengths and my talents. I like that the horse in a way is very solemn, rides with security/firmness, is free and can handle almost anything.
I've gone on a little long on the subject but I hope I've been able to make myself understood with some of the points as it certainly isn't easy sometimes to see oneself and recognise what is inside us. Even if it is through analogies, I think there is some truth in it if we think about it a little. I've done some catharsis with this initiative today, so I think that's also the point. Finalmente llegamos al tercer animal y para este elegí al caballo. El caballo para mi es un animal muy fuerte, servicial (al ser compañía del hombre por tanto tiempo), noble, belloy elegante. Creo que el único punto desfavorable quizás sea que pueden llegar a ser irascibles y peligrosos. Pero nuevamente todo depende. Con respecto a esta visión yo diría que quizás se ha acercado bastante pues así cómo el caballo, me gustaría poder demostrar de lo que soy capaz; mis fortalezas y mis talentos. Me gusta que el caballo en cierta forma es muy solemne, cabalga con seguridad/firmeza, es libre y puede con casi todo.
Me he extendido un poco con el tema pero espero haber podido hacerme entender con varios de los puntos pues ciertamente a veces no es fácil verse a uno mismo y reconocer lo que hay dentro de nosotros. Así sea a través de analogías, creo que algo de cierto tiene que ver en ello si nos ponemos a pensar un poco. Hoy he hecho catarsis con esta iniciativa así que, ese creo que es también el punto.
