En las cercanías de mi hogar en la ciudad de Barquisimeto, se encuentra el Centro Comercial Sambil Barquisimeto, un conjunto comercial y hotelero perteneciente a un grupo empresarial venezolano, que cuenta con diversos complejos ubicados, tanto en diferentes ciudades del país como en el extranjero.
Inaugurado en 2008, este centro comercial posee un estilo arquitectónico inspirado en el cuatro, un instrumento musical de cuatro cuerdas, típico de la región; esta forma se ve reflejada en la planta de conjunto, donde las clavijas se encuentran representadas por las tiendas anclas y el hotel con 164 habitaciones, y el techo situado en el eje central representa las cuerdas del instrumento.
Posee 288 locales comerciales en total, incluyendo 11 salas de cine, una feria de comida con 24 conceptos gastronómicos diferentes, un área de restaurantes con espejos de agua y vegetación conocido como Terrazas del Sambil, además, en sus pasillos se distribuyen 31 espacios comerciales a manera de kioscos.
Cuando dispongo de tiempo, suelo visitarlo aprovechando que se encuentra a corta distancia, a tal punto, que muchas veces lo hago a pié en lugar de manejar mi carro, con lo cual me ahorro la tarifa del estacionamiento y hago algo de ejercicio, lo cual siempre es provechoso para mi salud.
No siempro voy con el objetivo de comprar algún producto o comer en sus instalaciones, simplemente lo hago para distraerme paseando por sus pasillos y procurando relajarme mientras observo a las personas que acuden, y tomando alguna que otra foto de vez en cuando para compartir en mis redes sociales.
Near my home in the city of Barquisimeto, is the Sambil Barquisimeto Shopping Mall, a commercial and hotel complex belonging to a Venezuelan business group, which has several complexes located in different cities in the country and abroad.
Inaugurated in 2008, this shopping center has an architectural style inspired by the cuatro, a four-stringed musical instrument typical of the region; this form is reflected in the floor plan of the complex, where the pegs are represented by the anchor stores and the hotel with 164 rooms, and the roof located in the central axis represents the strings of the instrument.
It has 288 commercial premises in total, including 11 movie theaters, a food fair with 24 different gastronomic concepts, a restaurant area with water mirrors and vegetation known as Terrazas del Sambil, in addition, in its corridors are distributed 31 commercial spaces in the form of kiosks.
When I have time, I usually visit it taking advantage of the fact that it is within walking distance, to such an extent, that many times I do it on foot instead of driving my car, which saves me the parking fee and I get some exercise, which is always beneficial for my health.
I don't always go with the objective of buying a product or eating in their facilities, I simply do it to distract myself by walking through their aisles and trying to relax while watching the people who come, and taking a photo or two from time to time to share on my social networks.
