These furry little creatures are always welcome on my lawn. These white-tailed jackrabbits are all over residential neighborhoods in Calgary. In the winter, their fur coats turn white to help them blend in and avoid predators. They are peaceful little animals, often just munching on grass or sleeping on my lawn during the day. Jackrabbits like these are nocturnal creatures, so when I can get them in decent lighting, it is always a treat. Seeing three of them together at once is a rare sight, as I have seen them mostly single or in pairs.
