Stone Statue Faces

The frozen expressions of these stone statues seem so lifelike to me; sometimes I wonder what they are thinking about at any given time. They also remind me of ancient Rome, as these timeless faces feel like they have been around for centuries, although I know they are likely less than 100 years old. They make for great subjects for portraits, stoic and always ready for me to find another angle or another view. Maybe the lighting will change when I go at different times, or if I come back years later, will their faces have changed from the weathering of time? One thing I know for certain is that I will always be able to find them again.
